Metallothionein
Interest in metallothionein (MT) has attracted considerable interest in the last two years because of data collected by William Walsh, Ph.D. of the Pfeiffer Institute, which indicates the copper to zinc ratio is abnormally high in individuals with autism. Dr. Walsh theorizes that the reason for this abnormal ratio is a deficiency of MT or an altered function of MT in individuals with autism. Based on this theory, Dr. Walsh began offering a treatment for this deficiency based on the use of nutritional supplements that include zinc, the amino acids found in MT, and other nutrients. However, it is estimated that zinc has over 200 different biochemical functions so the benefits of zinc might be completely unrelated to metallothionein. If metallothionein is low in autism, such a deficiency might help to explain why children with autism responded unfavorably to vaccines containing heavy metals like mercury. MT chelates mercury. MT is a family of small proteins containing 61-68 amino acids with an unusually high concentration of cysteine (30%). In the diagram of MT1 and MT 2 above, a letter represents each of the 20 amino acids present in MT. The letter "c" represents the amino acid, "cysteine". MT-1 has 21 cysteine amino acids per MT molecule while MT-2 has 20 of these cysteine amino acids per molecule. The letters in red for MT2 represent amino acids in MT2 that are different than those in MT1. Cysteine contains a sulfhydryl group (SH) that has the ability to react with a number of metals including zinc, mercury, copper and cadmium. MT's are thought to function as intracellular distributors and mediators of copper and zinc, as well as playing a major role in heavy metal detoxification.
MT also plays a major role in the regulation of the immune system because it binds zinc more strongly than the zinc-dependent hormone thymulin, which activates the thymus gland - the master gland of the immune system. Excess formation of MT can lead to inadequate free zinc to activate the thymulin, which results in an increasing incidence of infections. Some researchers suspect that the MT increase that occurs with aging causes atrophy of the thymus gland due to insufficient free zinc and is a reason for the increased incidence of infections and cancer as we age.
Excess zinc, on the other hand, may lead to copper deficiency which is associated with anemia, high cholesterol, obesity, demineralization of the bones, decreased white blood cells necessary to fight infections, as well as depigmentation of hair and skin. A parent who gave their child high doses of zinc on a daily basis reported that the child's hair turned gray. Continuous zinc supplementation of as low as 18.5 mg per day for two weeks has induced copper deficiency in adults. Copper deficiency is indicated if serum copper is below 60 mcg/dL or serum ceruloplasmin is below 200 mg/L. Sometimes high doses of zinc are administered for more than a year in order to strengthen the immune system, but adults who take 225-450 mg of zinc daily have experienced nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and bloody diarrhea. It is evident that either an excess or deficiency of MT, or an excess or deficiency of zinc or copper may be harmful.
Measurements of MT-levels, as well as zinc, have been used to indicate zinc deficiency. MT increases rapidly after zinc supplementation and decreases if the diet is deficient in zinc. The zinc from plasma proteins begins to be used up when the body stores are depleted. Zinc values in the plasma below 65-70 mcg/dL are considered indicative of zinc deficiency. When the values are below 33 mcg/dL, skin-rash, abdominal pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite and a reduced sense of taste and smell can occur. Zinc deficiency is also associated with growth retardation, impaired development of bone and cartilage, poor wound healing, hair loss, night blindness, impaired immune function and delayed sexual maturation. Zinc may function as a cofactor in hundreds of different reactions so it is impossible to know which clinical symptoms are associated with particular biochemical reactions.
Glutathione
Glutathione is perhaps the major regulator determining the release of metals by MT and zinc is the major metal bound by MT in a healthy individual. Seven molecules of zinc can bind to every molecule of MT. Reduced glutathione (GSH) mediates the transfer of zinc to MT, while conversely oxidized glutathione oxidizes the sulfhydryl groups of MT and releases zinc which is then transferred to enzymes. The concentration of zinc released during transmission of brain impulses has been toxic to brain cells in cultures, indicating that MT and other regulatory proteins, such as glutathione are important in regulating zinc to less than toxic levels in the brain.
Ceruloplasmin
Ceruloplasmin is a large protein with a molecular weight of 132,000 daltons and the main copper-binding protein in serum. Each molecule will bind six atoms of copper. Low values of ceruloplasmin are found in Wilson's disease, malnutrition and Menke's kinky hair syndrome. Elevated levels are found during pregnancy, estrogen or anti-seizure drug use, infections, tissue necrosis and trauma.
Copper
Copper values are low in cases of Wilson's disease, Menke's kinky hair syndrome, malabsorption, cystic fibrosis and malnutrition. Elevated values are associated with infections, pregnancy, estrogen or anti-seizure drug use, inflammation, tissue necrosis, trauma, cancer, anemias, excessive dietary intake, and with systemic lupus erythematosus. The majority of serum copper is bound to ceruloplamsin and the remaining copper is bound to albumin, metallothionein or other proteins.
Zinc
Levels of zinc below normal are associated with growth retardation, impaired development of bone and cartilage, poor wound healing, hair loss, night blindness, impaired immune function and delayed sexual maturation. Conditions in which zinc levels may be low include: infectious disease, cancers and absorption problems. Excessive zinc intake may cause copper deficiency and may occur in cases of heart disease, arteriosclerosis, certain cancers and anemias.
Glutathione, reduced
Low reduced glutathione may be due to deficiencies of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, glutathione synthetase or gamma-glutamyl synthetase. Glutathione may also be low due to exposure to toxic halogenated hydrocarbons such as DDT, PCB's, or chloroform, because it combines with these toxins and is eliminated with them. My wife,susan, recently saw a TV program you had helped produce regarding autism. For some 16 years I have been studying Tibetan medicine as well as orthomolecular medicine. I wrote my book in 1998 on biochemical imbalances basically for all mental difficulties with a direct impact for schizophrenias and bi-polars. Neither you nor I know which nutrient and at what dosage your child with autism needs. We are like a fish or tree- we all need the proper nutrients to grow. Each case of autism is a separate case and because of biochemical individuality you may need one thing in massive doses which may even be harmful for another. All symptoms are many times very misleading and we think it is one thing and it is really another. Autism is a new disease probably caused by environmental issues either micro (meaning something that went into their organism such as a vaccine or macro meaning something from the larger environment that exist in the atmosphere. The air, which has particles for many that have no problems dealing with and others get autism or other disease states. Tibetan medicine tells of this many times in their history that goes back to 715 AD and to 5000 years in their adoption of ayurvedic medicine. Even the drugs that are used on some violent autistic people come from as much as 5000 years ago for those that had a different but massive dysfunction of the CNS (central nervous system which controls violent behavior. Many times it is necessary to use anti-psychotic drugs. Almost all come from the original plant rauwoulfia and that plant has been used for 5000 years or more in (ayurvedic medicine) India and other countries for confused thoughts people with great success. In the mid 20th century drug manufacturers in the USA used rauwoulfia to make resperine and all its derivatives, serpasil, moderil,harmonyl which are all anti-psychotics which help the racing minds and reduce so many wild thoughts in the schizophrenic and others. Here we have a problem we think and may think wrongly that autism is a person with only one thought and that they have focus only on one thing. Also they will stay with that obsessive thought for a long, long time sometimes hours. The schizophrenias show it in a different way with a 1000 thoughts in a nano-second and the autistic child show it as focused only on one thing. All and I say autism is a systemic disease meaning all the cells are in dysfunctional. One cell can not depend on another to work. Too many cellular problems, which have a sequence and even, one out of sequence makes the entire sequence faulty. So where does one even begin to start? First each and every autistic person is a separate disease state- each person has cells not working in a different way. There will never be a magic bullet for autism. They are individual diseases and it is like trying to help someone with one disease and it is another disease entirely. Many times we are fooled by what we see in behaviors of autistic people. We compare notes of behaviors with others that have autistic people in their families and say we see the same thing. Yes we think we might but the source of even exactly the same behavior may be from different cellular problems entirely. We are fooled into thinking we found some answers by their behaviors being similar or as we think the same. Behaviors may be but the
"why" but are not the same. For example,Dr. Abram Hoffer once had a patient with schizophrenia who he had given 45,000mg daily vitamin C who after three days was totally normal. So hoffer had to reduce her dosage he thought to get her out of the hospital. He reduced her to 40,000 mg thinking that in three days he could bring her down to 5,000mg or so. When he brought her back to 40,000 mg all of her problems started all over again. So he took her back to 45,000 mg and all her problems were gone again. He left her at 45,000 mg. She left the hospital and he told her to always stay at 45,000mg daily forever. She did. So you may say give all schizophrenias 45000 vitamin C and all schizophrenias will be well. Not true- yes it may be for one and maybe many others (the same as vitamin c and niacin b3 for schizophrenias) but not all. Also during that time I filmed for four hours ,free to me, Dr Wm. Shaw. You obviously know of him and autism research. I try to help people all the time come to paradigms shifts so that they can have wellness and then they can hopefully search for the reasons why they are here on this planet at this time and dimension. For whatever reason since early childhood my perception has allowed me to have passion for whatever I do or think. I do not get into ego manifestations, which bring about ignorance and delusions. So my reason for the email. In Tibet there is 0% female breast cancer and there is no spectrum disorder which we call autism. why??? Buddha some 2550 years ago told that his prophesies, of which we are in the middle of his last 500 years prophesies, that there would be massive disease states that had never been known before. He had given exact formulas of herbs, plants, animal parts etc., none of which has less than 22 ingredients and thus work synergistically in the human organism. For example cancer was one of these new diseases.Tibetan medicine does not even have anything that is close to autism in Buddha's treatises. Not too strange- since we live in an age now when the environmental reasons show up. Buddha was telling us some 2550 years ago. Now even Tibetan doctors living and helping others, for example, in India or China have to go back to the original texts to figure out the formulas for breast cancer since there was never a need before since Tibetans within Tibet did not have breast cancer. Behaviors of any kind are the key to understanding some of the malfunctions of cellular dysfunctions within the organism. Schizophrenias or autism are very complex in this regard to say the least. There are two premises to such disease states. Lessen the degree of pain and suffering or complete cure. All of us have disease from the time of ovum and sperm connecting. That is the reason Buddha told of methods to nourish, protect, and cherish all living things. Many times we in the western culture want something to cost 35$, take three days to fix, and life will go on in our delusions as before. First it does not happen and why would you want to return to the past delusions that you say are a comfortable life and the hell with everyone else- leave them to their own pain. Two thoughts directly toward Austin: Is the damage unrepairable and are we not learning for the autistic person their perception which can bring us to another level of understanding about ourselves or can something be repaired and lessen from what we perceive as our perception and it is correct for the person with autism. To me it is both and therefore very complex. We have a 30-year-old son, Christian who for 15 years suffered massive violent chaos and a hell no one could ever believe (the last three years he is totally functional and a wonderful caring and delightful human again with much in his life). I learned more from his chaos in 15 years than i did in 50 years prior. He made me who I am now because of his chaos. No I do want anyone ever to have any pain period. Since the beginnings of time we have had 1-2% of the entire population of what you might call the mean-spirited word schizophrenias. Autism is a new disease state even though we have some other symptomologies that say it has existed for thousands of years. Maybe a little piece here or there but certainly not all the manifestations we now see. Schizophrenias however have been with us a long ,long time. The only parallel of the two is massive cellular dysfunctions. People see behaviors that seem to make no sense. They do make sense but we do not know yet how to interpret them. I am in no way saying we should not give from our perception a full life as we perceive of it. We should always but we have to learn about our own perception fallacies as well. If you read Dr. Yeshi Dhonden’s book "Healing from the Source" isbn #1-55939-148-0 published by Snow Lion publications in 2000 you will find concepts that western medicine has not even thought of. Western medicine looks at individual things,"entites",and not concepts of the total human organism. We look at methylation,vitamin C, retroviruses, this and that as individual things. Cause and effect- straight and simple. The human organism does not work that way period. For example, we have over 5000 enzymes firing off every second in our bodies and each must be in the proper sequence or all the enzyme function is worthless and cells needing that enzyme are denied the needed reaction. So there is no way ever to use this cause-effect concept. For example, thoughts change biochemicals and biochemicals change thoughts. Which is first or is there a first? I think not. There is constant nanosecond interplay and there is never a first igniter and if there is it has to go to thought certainly. Ask a schizophrenic that has a 1000 thoughts at the same time to think wonderful thoughts. Not possible. Even ask someone you might think is functioning very well and they can not even do it many times. Bernie Rimland and I were talking years ago about autism ( his son has autism you may know. I believe he is 47 now). Bernie was saying we use glycine, nadh pathway, we use this and that and my reply was in what dosages and which nutrients and even then what do you do because of biochemical individuality. Every autistic organism is different. Neither you nor I will ever find that magic bullet for schizophrenias or autism if we search this way. That is why some autistic people have been helped with glycine or taking them off gluten or whatever. Then why does it not help all the others? This paradigm of thinking is a huge delusion put on us by Western medicine. When we shift this massive delusional paradigm we will seek different answers. It is about very specific cellular dysfunctions to that individual autistic person and each and every one of them will have to be helped individually. It is not about take an aspirin and all will be better, if not call me in the morning philosophy. Autism like schizophrenias will teach people things they never wanted to learn about themselves. Pain is always our greatest teacher. It may seem mean-spirited and harsh but you should thank your child for their problems. No one ever wants anyone in pain ever, for any reason, and as Buddha said 2550 years: his father had always kept Buddha, (yes a real living person) in his castle for some 28 years and never allowed him out into the real world because the father did not want Buddha to see pain and suffering. One day Buddha asked his servant to go out of the castle. "No master your father will kill me". Finally after many days Buddha convinced his servant and they went our of the castle. The first thing Buddha saw was a man suffering beside the road in great pain. Buddha asked his servant,"will i suffer like that"? "Yes master" was the reply from the servant. They walked on and Buddha saw a dead person and asked,"will i die like that?" And the reply from his servant was,"yes master you will". Then Buddha said "then I must do everything I can to relieve pain and suffering in all living things". The Buddha meditated for eight continuos years and had knowledge you or I cannot even think existed then or now. That was 2550 years ago and the basis of Buddhism but with a difference importance to all humans who see pain of any kind in anyone for any reason and aid in lessening of that pain. So this is the paradigm shift I will never see in my lifetime but it may come to pass at sometime. You have done good work to bring people to understand pain in others and that is very important and an important step to the next step- the paradigm shift. You can call me if you wish- I will give you everything I have for less pain-yours-mine or others. Good work you have done- please continues always. Pain is our teacher- Buddha,Christ, Mohammed, Confucius all knew this and based all their theological beliefs on it. So fortunate we are to have it as our teacher. What I would do if my child had autism: Let’s say they are three years old. First i would without any regard to what any doctor said I would start with nutrients: vitamin C at 3000mg daily,+ calcium 100mg + glutathione 250mg (the last two recirculate vitamin C through various enzymes vitamin B complex 100 1 per day then increase to 3 per day in 2 weeks, omega 3 1000mg EPA part, then 2000 mg starting week 2 and stay there for a month then 3000 mg, zinc 75 mg daily, vitamin A 25000 IU daily, no vitamin D but make certain he or she is outside daily for sunlight regardless of temperature outside, selenium 400 mcg(micrograms) digestive enzymes- pancreatic enzymes all 8 of them, each works on a different type of food they will eat, absolutely no white sugar, white flour, they should have at least two full bowel movements per day in fully formed lengths- hopefully three bowel movements per day to pass on bad bacterias, fungi,microorgansims and cytoplams. Then go to front page of this website and start on nutrients for neurotransmitters. Start with nutrients to rebuild serotonin first, then GABA, then acetylcholine, and last dopamine in this order. Depending on the age and size you may have to reduce some of the doses. do not try all at once. record any changes so you have future information that started to work properly. This should take for all these less than one month. We have 52 neurotransmitters but these four are the main ones which effect so much of the human organism. food to start with: greasy, heavy food, sweet to taste such as carrots, celery. Start with anything heavy and oily,greasy: brown rice celery, peanuts, walnuts, any fish especially salty fish, naturally sweet vegetables such as carrots and soft foods even including a teaspoon of olive oil. Do not eat grains alone but with vegetables mixed in- sesame seeds. The first day was your heavy- oily sweet day-by eating bananas you are in fact heavy and oily and that dispels wind humour which causes massive problems. Noodle soup every day of the three days. - Tomorrow your light-cool day: white rice, cows milk, pork or chicken ,millet, brown or regular barley- yogurt hopefully even goat yogurt- ginger tea 2x day. Third day eat only vegetable mushrooms,spinach,lettuce,onions. All days stay away from any sour or bitter foods- very important at the end of each day write down how their body felt and especially thinking or anything that was unusual. At the end of three days you will know what type of foods for this particular part of the year are OK to eat. These are the three major humours in Tibetan medicine which also has hot and cold diseases states and a massive amount of knowledge which if you think nutrients are difficult to figure out then stay away from asking why such and such a food is such and such. Far too complicated even by where you live and even the calendar month. Behaviors to look for: in each of the three days you will see diverse different reactions. Please write them down. Do not trust your memory. Since all human mental disease are controlled from the navel to anus the gut is unbelievably important. It is not a tube to get rid of waste as you might think. Each one of the tiny hairs on the inside of the gut are villi and each is genetically programmed to know which food has which amino acid and a priority mechanism to know where and how it should get to the cells for use. If fact 80-90% of the all neurotransmitters in the brain are made in the gut. Many people have tried to concentrate on acidophilus, bifidus and lactoferrin as probiotics- do that as well. If nothing is processed and assimilated properly then all foods, any foods will set up antigen reactions. Thus food is a "baddy" in this sense. Food made the person worse than they were before they ate. Antigen reactions then cause the neurotransmitters not to work because the immune system is too far compromised and the neurotransmitters show a unusual or weird behavior. The behavior came from the gut and malabsorption, which is different from assimilation which, is the genetic coding of the villi . Both are extremely important. In my opinion autistic people are literally starving even if the are way overweight in the physical appearance. All foods must break down from large molecules to small molecules then into amino acids (20) in the human organism before the cells can use them. That is if the villi and absorption are working and it is the correct food without any antigen- immune destruction. So very complicated. Food is not just food- never was and never will never be. iI is truly life itself. Nutrients are concentrated particles of food. I once figured out it would take 620 spinach leaves to equal 800 mcg of folic acid (vitamin 9) You digestive system could not stand that much roughness. So nutrients are concentrated forms. We have only had then in the form of capsules or pills since the 1930’s so we are very fortunate. Do not for now going screwing around with specific amino acids- you can cause massive harm that is even worse than they have now. Now after one week you should see very small signs of something different in their behaviors that indicate a direction. Some you will see are very bad behaviors and know that something you did not work even if it works for all of the rest of us. It will not be the nutrients in my opinion- nothing there is toxic. So it must be the food, assimilation, absorption, time of day even circardians, liver not detoxing, spleen not purifying the blood properly which crosses into the brain which make neurotransmitters and you see behaviors. This is where I would start. This is literally only starting and some people trying to help their autistic children have done all this sort of thing in some sort of piece-meal fashion and still the child is not better. Yes there are so many additional things I can suggest but it would take volumes. Yes I will do that but first do these as a start. You will see improvement, the same as before or even worse than before. The next step in addition to continuing the same thing you are continuing in message 1- continue to do them unless massive violent behaviors. Add these things which will work specially on the following: absorption, assimilation, liver, spleen, good blood. a huge amount to work on. First absorption: find the transient time for bowel movement by having them eat corn. Corn is not digested totally by any human and when you see corn parts in their bowel movement you will know how long it took from mouth to anus excretion. This is important to find out if they are a fast metabolizer or slow metabolizer.Ideal time would be 8-9 hour or even up to 11 hours. Anything above that time is a slow matabolizer, which means you have a problem with the child for bacterias, fungi, microorganisms that cause enzyme reactions not to work properly. We have some 5000 enzymes firing off every second in the human- an enzyme is a fancy word for igniters or catalyst to make a reaction somewhere else- a reaction that has many other reactions or enzymes in a particular sequence and a final resting place in a particular type of cell or cell part. We have many different types of enzymes- some with 10 reactions and some with 150 reactions- but whatever enzyme it must be in the correct sequence to work. How do we test for this- we can’t because there is no way with 5000 firing off every second to isolate one particular enzyme out of this mass of other enzymes-.It is far worse than looking for a needle in a haystack- that we could do eventually but not enzymes. So how do we know they are working or some are working?- The only way is by the behaviors in humans- behaviors are not just speech, physical movement, body carriage but very subtle things such as even how long it takes to go to sleep or when we arrive in "REM sleep" and how long we stay in "REM sleep" to use the sleep analogy. When it comes to behavior it is extremely difficult to determine if it is a new behavior or a replay of the same old behavior with a "different set of clothes on". By that I mean you child already has the disease so is it the disease behavior and its storage in the hippocampus- amgydala (places in the brain for all thoughts even if asleep or awake since ovum and sperm were first united) of their reinforced behaviors or a totally new behavior you have never witnessed. Lets hope for totally new. What one is trying to do at this point is to have what we call the redundant cells function for those that are presently not working properly. Concept3:the next major understanding concept no. 3 is that the human has a wonderful way of repairing damage to itself. We have backup systems or redundant systems that take over and do the work they normally would not do. The body repairs itself. So this is the third concept missed by many in pain and suffering. Repair systems are always at work night or day 24 hours a day for as long as we live. An example was my biological mother at 59 years old (I grew up with my grandmother from age of 1) who had a massive stroke and the neurologist called the entire immediate family together to view the brain scan. Three-fourths of her entire brain was damaged, the doctor told us she would probably not live through the night. Three days later she woke up and started talking, two day later was discharged from the hospital and only needed 6 months of physical arm therapy and could not properly pronounce three specific words. She was as she was before the stroke in less than one week except for the arm and the words. How is that possible? Backup, redundant systems working properly. We do not need a stroke to see how we too can and should repair ourselves continually. Another example. We had our son’s neurotransmitters (blood tests) checked in Holland because the USA does not do this very sophisticated test. All the neurotransmitters except some minor amount of serotonin was zero. The lab did the tests three times. They too could not believe it and thought maybe their testing machinery was faulty. Same results each time. In terms of physiological illnesses he should have been dead. He had no physical illnesses then or now. So it is the neurotransmitters and it is not the neurotransmitters. Something else is going on. Yes the redundant cell function was not only keeping him alive physically and mentally but he started to recover after that. We knew for a fact his neurotransmitters were not there except for the small amount of serotonin. So how was it possible? Still a huge mystery to all the doctors and us at this time. So you can even hope for that too. Maybe some electrical circuits in his brain rewired or new voltage in the cells or some other cells took over. We do not know nor does anyone who has looked at all of his charts. This is what I am trying to say as a means to get around the dysfunction of cells not working now. It takes 4-12 years to rebuild all the cells in the body depending on so many diverse biochemical interchanges. We do not rebuild them all at once. Then we have biochemical individuality. You may rebuild in 4 years and it may take me 12 years. If you are forty years old you have had at least 4 to 10 rebuildings. A child has had very few and those are even not working properly now so where do these redundant cells come from. No one really knows but they are real and may be from cells we thought did only one job and then are called on to do another separate job- no one knows. So we are using that as our springboard and yes it can work. Do not be discouraged if you have difficulty understanding some of these concepts. Yes autism and schizophrenias are very, very complex and we are doing things to get something to function properly while we are waiting to rebuild cells. Now to things which may seem a little more simple : for the liver as I mention in the previous message as a major detoxing organ for the entire body. Think of your child as a train ride-what they used to call a slow, milk train that stopped at every little town to pick up the famer’s milk from that town. We are trying to get to the brain and neurotransmitters as one of several final destinations but we have to stop at every little town along the way. So we have to stay at longer than we wished- we want to get to our destination- we have do to all the things right at the right time and this changes every second in your child- we are in pain- they are in pain- everything is a mess- yet we have to stay on the train and move very slowly to find out how each little stop is very important and anything can and many does even destroy what we think we have gained. Give sylamarin and gugul (1 capsule or pill per day after mid meal)to help the liver detox, get a blood test for heavy metals- if you find heavy metals especially mercury, lead, copper then increase the vitamin c to 5000mg daily, then to 7000mg in two weeks- if it is copper also increase the zinc to 100mg even if you have to cut the pill in half or toss some of the capsule out)all doses of anything I have talked about in this article one or the last one should be in equal divided doses three time per day after full meals. You are trying to saturate the tissues. Vitamin c for example has a life of about 3 and one half-hours at full saturation. Yes it is still there until you eat every 3-4 hours but not at saturation. Saturation means you are trying to force other enzymes to make the cells work- you are trying to get the enzymes to work in overdrive by saturation. Next step nothing of any consequence to eat after 5pm. If the child goes to bed at 8 or even 9pm the liver which detoxs for that day starts at 10pm to 2am because of our circadian rhythms- we all do the same. It does not matter even if you go to bed at midnight the liver detoxing began around 10pm. This is very important. If the liver worked properly then we can have good blood for the spleen- our transporter to other areas of the body and eventually to the brain. If we have stagnant electronic energy in the spleen then I suggest you find a Chinese trained acupuncturist to do acupuncture for moving that electronic energy in the spleen. If the electronic components of every cell in our body are not in agreement with the fluid biochemical part then we have problems. Second acupuncture:also ask the acupuncturist to do crown point- the soft spot at the top of the head, the third vertebrate, sixth vertebrate and the notch. They know what I mean if they know what they are doing. If they do not know from this explanation then find another acupuncturist who does. By the end of this week again you will see changes better, worse or what you might think as the same. I do feel by now you will some very minor changes. If they did not talk before that does not mean they will talk now- if they do then you have helped them but very far from the end of our train ride. The next message I leave will be in an area that I spent a great deal of time trying to help others- neurotransmitters- a very difficult area and very complex- far more complex than anything to this point but it is the end of our train journey to lessen pain and confusion in your child’s life and giving them more function and even joy. When we get to the end of neurotransmitters then we have to look into how we get redundant cells working. Only a minute amount of research has been done in this area in Western medicine but a great deal in Tibetan medicine. At that point I will recommend you find Dr. Yeshi Dhonden on one his two week stays in New York or Boston. You can contact Dr. Marsh Woolf in New York City at Tibetan Medical Clinic for Dr. Dhonden. Had we not had such massive psychotic problems with our son we would have had Dr. Dhonden form the beginning. It is that important. That is our final destination- the joy of life as the way we think joy is- our perception.
ARTICLE 4--OUR WESTERN CULTURE AND THE FOODS WE EAT Before 1900 most all people in the USA only ate foods from their previous cultures that they had immigrated from.This was good and bad. If they had good foods for their organisms that was good and if they had bad foods for their organisms then that was bad. From this came cross-cultural foods- one from another. Many of these people who ate this type of food probably had antigen-allergic reactions. Then we had people who decided by using grains. They could be stored. Grains of different types had sugar with them in packages that people would buy them. Sugar consumption in 1900 was less than one pound per person for an entire year. One pound has 16 ounces in it or 453 grams. Look at one candy bar and you will see that you have just consumed in one candy bar what a person would consume in three or four months if they had sugar available in 1900. Many times food manufactures put things in gram weight because most of our culture cannot do the mathematical conversion and grams sounds like a little amount. Not only solid foods but beverages as well used large amounts of white sugars in what we call soft-drinks. Then in the early 1900’s came the full results of the industrial revolution started in the early 1800’s. If a worker was to work 10 hours a day for 6 days per week as they did then, they had to carry foods with them to eat on the job. Fast-food concepts started way back then even if they did not fully mature until the mid 1950’s. The worker is working hard physical labor jobs for 10 hours per day for 6 days a week then they also wanted some way to unwind- alcohol had always been a problem for all cultures but it got a huge boost in the early part of the 1900’s. But also so did sugar consumption foods- manufactured grain types. My grandmother who raised me was born in 1894 and remembered in detail when marshmellows,potato chips ,and a whole host of snack cakes ,candies and the like started. Her brother ,my great uncle Cliff had a grocery store from 1918 and he saw his sales greatly increased almost overnight because of these types of foods. This is total and complete image over substance. If you keep saying anything long enough to enough people pretty soon all those people will believe it. And you have to remember one organism’s thirst of desires- all human organisms love sugar but it the source of the sugar that is the problem. White sugar that is used is not the same as sugars coming from fruits and vegetables. The human organism must have sugar in every part of the body to function- it is part of the energy cycle.But white sugar is not the answer. Then we come to salt. White sugar and salt are both natural to the organism’s taste factories in our brain. Then we have a major problem with flour products . All the good nutrients in the milling process have been taken out. In fact in the 1920-30’s because so many people ate flour without niacin in the flour came down with pellegra -symptoms of schizophrenia. When these people were given niacin then they were totally normal. Then many milling operations were changed back to allowing niacin back in the wheat processing. Without the niacin in flour you ate a sugar-cake type of snack and all you were getting was a solid form of nothing. It did not costs much to make and sales made instant millionaires such as Kellogg,Hersey, Coca-cola company and many,many others. You did not have to have any brains to make these things- all you needed was money to invest in the manufacturing of them. Then you would even find these so-called food types at social events even including church gatherings. It may have taken a long time for farmer’s wives to give up baking pies, especially pies that did not need sugar of any kind, but even if you had one of their wonderful pies at a church socials you could also get sugarycakes,chips,marshmellows and the like. My Mom never grew up with very much sugar available in her family and even when she died at 80, even though she used white sugars for certain pastries, she never thought it was so special except as an added minor taste enhancer. I remember as a child of 7 or 8 going back to visit relatives of both my Mom and grandfather- who all lived within 12 miles of each other. When we ate there was never less than 6 ,and I say 6, vegetables, and because we always visited in the summer- about 5 or 6 different fruits. Yes they had meat and potatoes- a carryover from their Germanic background . But if there were 12 or 13 people eating the meat was about 2-4 ounces portions and all the things together made a full tummy. Yes they had desserts but not totally filled with sugar. If you ate like we did back then you have to remember that was before chemicals in the food and you worked 6 days a week mainly at physical labor. Looking back I never saw in my memory any fat or overweight people and that was crossing three generations of relatives. They didn’t take tonics and they did not get sick .My Great-Uncle Cliff I mentioned died at 98, and my Mom at 80 ,and her sister at 102.My Great- Uncle Cliff was not ill until the last 6 months of his life even though he had prostate cancer. Susan and I went to visit him when he was 98 ,thinking he was still living at home, but was recently put in care -assisted facilty. When we saw him in a wheel chair coming toward us the size of the prostate cancer was huge- literally the size of a small watermelon pushing out his pants. His doctor had informed him a few years before that he had cancer but Cliff said he would not be operated on. My Mom did die of cancer of the stomach and suffered about a year. My Great aunt Adelia unfortunately suffered without knowing anything for 9 years from Altzeimers. She was 102 when she died but was never unhealthy physically. They ate well all of their lives,never overweight,in good minds,spirits, and all the good aspects of being human and lived long lives. Even if Adelia had died at 92 without Altzeimers she would have had a long life. So don’t ever tell me that eating is just eating. It is life itself. There are some very mysterious things that happen with thought and energy in terms of herbs or foods. Now if you look at your own life history almost all- the entire all of you has been in the manufactured food process life. You maybe do not have a past that I did so it is difficult for you to image something that did not happen to you as it did me. So now you have to change to do something that never existed before in your life-history time-line. That is a gigantic problem for all people living in this day and age. There is absolutely nothing for you to identify with. Where do you start then. Do as much as you can to get the worst of the bad guys gone in one swoop- no more white sugar in anything-learn to drink good water, never phosphate-sugar drinks people call soft drinks- cut down or totally get rid of salt- you will get enough through vegetables for sodium- if you must have some salt then switch to ocean salt. I did not mention chips- huge amounts of free-radicals because they are made with oils that are not good for the human first, then the oils are cooked to unbelievable temperatures that causes everything they come in contact with to have free-radicals. It doesn’t matter they are corn chips,potato, zuccini chips or any vegetable produce, it has huge amounts of free-radicals. It is going to take a long time to rebalance your system anyway so why are you playing Russian roulette, with 5 bullets in the gun’s chamber, and hoping you will hit the empty chamber and be safe. Just change now period. Then how do I eat if I didn’t know how to from my history of bad eating. First, even though you have energy now,happy with life,play with kids,enjoy so many things and look forward to doing more in life ,you are now ill but the symptoms have not appeared yet. Because our food supply has been so damaged you will never get the chance to do preventative medicine on yourself. You have been denied this. You can only do therapeutic or recovery medicine. You do have illnesses going on now so you have to play a very fast game of "catch-up" now. In another article I mentioned what you should be taking not including the food diet here. The reason as I said: I do not know what symptoms will show up or what disease you will have in the future but only that you will because all of your cells have been deprived since birth all the cellular nutrients they need. Because everyone is biochemically individualized some people will need more of a particular nutrient and less of another. However I have recommended at least the ones we all can agree on as safe and certainly needed. The problem since birth is like a glass of water that was full at birth and each day and all the factors of human stress development,illnesses,vacines,predesposed genetic conditions the glass gets minute amounts taken out each day. In addition you have cell division timing that is really the control of your entire life called "telomere proceedures". Science thinks we are up to 45-55 cell divisions and complete cell death and ultimate death and thus we live to 76-80 years as an average. In 1900 the average lifespan was 50 and they had less telemeres or a faster rate of divisions. One’s person’s cell dividing time may be faster or slower but all are at the cellular level and it cells you have damaged by the bastardized foods you only had to choose from. The evolution of the human brain is not really mysterious in some ways and very mysterious in so many ways that we will undoubtedly never figure it out ever. The not so mysterious part is the evolution of omega 3 in brain development. Where the first amount of omega 3 came from is anyone’s guess but at some point in our evolution we started to acquire more omega 3 from different foods especially lake and ocean fish. Even by that time the size of the bones of the skull and shape of the skull got larger to compensate for more omega 3. The brain is made as some estimate of 40%+ of omega 3 and omega 3 controls so many actions native to the human functions. Without it we would be merely animals. In fact even animals must have known something special about omega 3 in the brain of other animals because they would only eat the brains of animals and leave the remainder for other animals. Recently even though we feed our cats well one of our cats has always had a very large animal instinct for anything outside of our house that is eatable and one day my wife and I were talking outside and Susan said look, Bramha, our cat, has just killed another rabbit and only the head was missing- the remainder of the rabbit was in tack. Much research for some 50 years has been done on omega 3 and you can readilty find a great deal. Here comes the bad news- almost all native or existing omega 3 in our brains is diminshed by eating omega 6 and omega 9 foods. In western foods basically have about 80-90% or more omega 6 and 9 and we do not need them but we do need omega 3. Do not be fooled because your head is on your shoulders and your heart or liver is inside you chest- they are all controlled by neurotransmitters in your brain- pure and simple. So work backwards and you will find why you have heart problems. Fisrt you have no omega 3 to speak of and transmitters cannot function to control all the things the so-called doctors say cause us to have heart problems such as cholesterol,high blood pressure and obseity,sugar metabolism problems or diabetes, kidney problems and the like. So no omega 3 enough – no neurotransmitter balances and guess who has heart disease. It really is not complicated. But you are eating omega 6 and omega 9 foods and will never get any better but have more problems until your mind even starts to play tricks on you too. I remember a doctor once that stated that omega 3 is only from fish- yes and no. Yes fish especially and only coldwater Northern Atlantic fish have enough omega 3 but there are some plants that do have some omega 3 as well- few but some. Also do not go out and buy a bunch of fish at the store and think you will get your omega 3 up unless you get North Atlantic cold water fishes- cod,haddock,mackeral ,herring and a few others. Don’t even think of frying. . So we need omega 3 every day of our lives in some amount- then our brains and systems throughout the body will work especially if we get histamines down,PH levels up, and the correct humoural balance. You can not fully get histamines under control or balance humours or the PH level to the proper place unless the neurotransmitters are working correctly and they come from omega 3. If there was ever a magic potion for life I would have to say it is omega 3. They are just starting to do exhaustive research on omega 3 and cell division time-lines. We are getting closer to finding something to relieve some pain and suffering. If you took all the ingredients out of all the capsules you are taking it will equal approximately 12000 milligrams which equals less than 1/2 an ounce daily total. Now do you see why it is so appalling that the food industry and chemicals companies altered foods and those nutrients are now missing in those foods. Another special point is that there is a huge difference in trying to do "catch-up" nutrients for your cells now when they needed them at special cellular timings in all your previous days since birth. People have to realize that ignorance is always played upon by those of money,power,and greed. It has been that way since the beginning of time but when it comes to the food supply then it has catastrophic problems for all of us. Banking or the auto industry may have money,power and greed as one of their reasons to exist but the food supply is like taking oxygen out of the air and asking people to breathe. We have many so-called new diseases that are now known that never existed before and have huge rates of existing diseases off the charts. Yes even in my family my Mom died of stomach cancer,my great uncle died of prostate cancer but they were also 80 and 98 and in years old respectivly, not some 25year old with breast cancer, and all the like at younger and younger ages. We may have longer telemeres for living longer but we also have massive amounts of chemical pollutants in our food,air, and water. My Mom grew up and lived most of her life in the old age- no chemicals- good food etc. I grew up in a cross -time of good and bad. You are growing up in a total chemical age. So take the nutrients that were denied to you since birth in foods –they are not the same as in food you needed then but will help. The cells that needed them are already dead and have been replaced already with new cells. However, because you are living totally in the chemical age you may have some cell divisions that have defective DNA transfers and thus cancerous cells, and thus you have a 25 year with breast cancer. She only had her breasts for maybe 14 or 15 years and they have cancer in them. So there is a huge difference between someone who was 92 when he got prostrate cancer and someone at 25 years of age. If you gave me a chance to decide, I would want a full life until age 92 and then cancer. A young person at 25 years of age did not have even a portion of a full life. So never, and I say never say to me "it is progress that caused it". I am not being condescending but I do hope that you have enough neurotransmitters working properly to comprehend what I am saying. My life will definitely be ending in the years ahead but if I can leave life a little better than when I came in then, that is wonderful. Even with all the messages coming from various sources saying we need to clean up air, water, hydrocarbon emissions, the food industry and the like it will not help that much because genetic damage has already been done. This is not a nillistic-hateful view of life and the only hope I have is for the genetic codes of all future peoples’ to be returned to their good genetic codes before all this mess started. I will not be here but I can wish for that now when I am here. Where to start: only organic foods- if you can not find them eat other organic foods- find your 5 favorite vegaetables,4 favorite fruits, favorite grain, and favorite meat or fish,1 beverage,1 oil. This is for the entire day. All food combinations made from scratch. If you chose wheat you could make vegetable-meat lasagna,for example. This is a rather mean-spirited idea but may help you to understand what happened to you. Now think to yourself that you can not have any of these ever again. Quite a jolt to us. This is what has happened to the food industry supply since 1954 with their chemicals and deceptions. Now back to you- take all the wonderful foods you have chosen and forget about calories,oxalate,nutrient values,PH etc- forget it all. Learn to fall in love with food –maybe really the first time you have ever thought of it in that way. Pleasure yourself- don’t hurry- take 3 hours to eat if you wish- by the way almost all mediterrian cultures take 1.5-2 hours. Only thing -don’t eat fruit until 10 or so minutes after others because sugar in fruits takes over digestion of the others you already ate. Stay totally in the here and now only- don’t think of what you are going to do later-who to pick up for sports etc. You are totally the most important person to you period. Make a conviction to yourself. Your mother may live down the street, or be dead, and she gave you birth- yes honor her with your love but you are a separate energy and you alone are responsible for your own being- pure and simple. Love yourself- love yourself with the foods you chose today. Be able to tell yourself tomorrow how great the food you had today tasted. It is now new food in your long road to replacing a screwed up life-history time-line you were forced to accept- your never had a chance and in no way are you to blame. You have to remember the joy of eating- the first time is now- then you have something to fall back on as a history time-line. People that go on diets for all kinds of reasons may have great food in front of them, yet they can’t move in the right directions. If you asked them- "did they fall in love with themselves and fall in love with their chose of foods" they would say you are totally and completely crazy. An aside- I can still remember (perhaps incorrectly, but I think not) the foods I ate in those gatherings when I was 7 or 8. I wonder why? Maybe I am indeed crazy but I think not. So you are bringing yourself to something else- you are giving and receiving at the same time. Yes just for eating. By the way this same concept of self identity and responsibilty will play out in many other parts of your life as well from playing with your kids,sex,your neighbors,your spiritual belief and many more. So in an indirect way you are taking something ugly and damaging and making it good and worthwhile- your own responsibility for your own health. You will not get sick , but may have a few very minor food allergies that will not hurt you , a few problems with getting all you wished for foods at the store ,but there is nothing that is horribly harmful for you. You may use any spices in very small amounts for the first 6 days. Step 2 do the same thing as day 1 but with 6 different vegetables,5 different fruits, different meat or fish,different grain,1 beverage,1 oil. It may already start to get confusing but do not under any conditions fail to do what you did in day 1 with falling in love and pleasuring yourself. Day 2 makes a longer history time-line. So now you have a longer history. Do not compare day 1 with day 2 but stay in the here and now of day 2. If you have 2 children both are special in their own ways- one is not better or worse –they are two different things. Day 1 will probably go fairly easy- day 2 mey be a little harder. Then we come to day 3- get 6 new vegetables,5 new fruits ,new meat or fish,and new grain,1 beverage,1 oil. This day 3 is difficult finding your last group of foods. If you were straving you would find something to eat. But you have choices. If you have to start a written list of those you still can love- not just to get through day 3 then you are more about choosing food than you are about yourself or how great the food really is. In otherwords you got side-tracked from yourself and food. Food is not and should never be a substitute for your own responsibility to yourself. It is not just some thing you do. It is a means to give you a full life energy and happiness. It happens to look weird or strange but it is no less a gift to you. Before Day 4 you might not realize that you now have a total of 17 vegetables,14 fruits ,3 meats or fish and 3 grains in you new food history. Quite and accomplishment in three days. Day 4- see by now if your have any difficulty at doing the same thing but with day 1 foods. This is what many call a four-day rotation diet but you have a three-day rotation. The reason for the rotation is to curb as many allergic reactions as possible. Do not write any of your feelings down or in anyway be cerebral about anything you have done. It is not about intellect but about emotions- feeling emotions that will be with you ,hopefully, for a long time- life. Maslow, a great theoretical psychiatrist once said that all things of great importance must have an emotion attached to it to have a everlasting impact. He was right. If you as a female have had a child you know the pain of childbirth but you also know the great joy of the birth too because you were attached to those emotions with great meaning and will never forget it, intellectually or emotionally. Why do I make eating such a drama. Because it is your only answer to health-yours- not just mine, and it is method to give something from me to you that you were denied by society. So off you go. Day 4- repeat of Day 1. Day 5 repeat of day 2. Day 6 repeat of day 3. If you do this for 6 days you will understand more about eating than you ever knew. It does work only if each time you stay in the here and now and each day give yourself all the meaning of love and responsibility for yourself. Yes it is difficult within family life and all the different food desires of everyone else but again take so called hardships of that and turn it around into a positive "thank you for the opportunity" to show yourself that I am indeed responsible to myself and all others also benefit. Sort of like marriage- take two strong people who are very responsible to themselves and it works- take one who is not and you have disaster. "Responsible" does not in anyway mean ego centered- quite the contrary it means you have strength and the ability to reach out to others because you are responsible. Starting day 7 you have to start on the difficult parts: pH levels,oxalates,free-radical prevetion foods, calories,histamines and the like. Now you will need to go to the chart. Over the next seven weeks you will be working on only one aspect per week of 7 days. This will eventually force you to like other foods you never considered before. Do not loose you focus. After doing these things I can assure you some of the bi-products of good eating: you probably lost 8-10 lbs,can do more exercise, are not as tired,sleep better,sex is better,not as much need to always be right, not argumentative, skin tone is better,etc. Many ,many things to your benefit. Now do you see why I said that people go on diet for the wrong reasons- they are not invested in themselves in a completely honest meaningful way with the correct knowledge and they give over their responsibilty of selfhood to a third party person who says this diet by such and such a person works. Never give over your selfhood and responsibility to anyone who wants to make money off your misery when you are trying to improve yourself in the first place. Many people in all cultures of the world do give over their selfhood to others in the hopes and with faith in the third party. It has always been wrong and can be very destructive. We as humans, just as animals, learn by example. If you see something that another person is doing that, through your own perception ,is appealing and desirable, then you want to incorporate it into yourself. Even if later you find that it is not healthy for you, then you have learned what not to do too- a very important lesson to awareness. All great religious belief systems- Jesus,Buddha,Mohammed and others gave examples for us to indentify with. They did things so we could choose if we wanted to put them in our own being. So you are given perception for your own well-being. There may be times that in fact you do have to give over to a third- party person for you. However as you grow in awareness you have to give the third party-person less and less. This some call maturity- I call it awareness. Now do you see why diets for people are so shallow in their approaches. Diet fades have taken out the main ingredient to motivation. They are trying to convince people it is about food. It really is not about food. I feel it is about people’s awareness in total- not one aspect. You search what is your perception identity and put those things you feel are important to all of your being. That is why if you fall in love with yourself, and fall in love with food ,and what food does for your total awareness you are not thinking of an object,such as food, but have an emotional attachment to food perhaps first, but more importantly to all of who you are. Drama, yes. Importance- definitely. Your health is paramount to the fabric of humankind. Negative energy is always around us and so is positive energy. It is how we perceive the world around us. Some because of fear -many do very little in choosing which is which. Others try to do as much choosing as possible with many learning mistakes along the way toward awareness. Diet fades are a disgrace to awarenss just as so many paths that are seemingly easy. I am not interested in diets .I am interested in peoples’ awareness. Food choice then is simple. So the chart you will use took some hours and thinking, and cross-checking fact and concepts, but again it is a "thing" to get you to a more "important thing"- your awareness. You will have to study a bit -each of the categories and that will take time too. You can use this char a long,long time with what is accurate and based on science as of today as well as concepts that go back some 6000 years. When it comes to food we are the "new-comers on the block".We got side-tracked by those interested in money,power and greed at the expense of humans. This has been going on since the beginning on mankind and all of us have the responsibility to alter it when we see it. So those ugly things that happened in the early 1900’s did affect you very much. Remember, "a stone tossed in a pond makes many ripples". By the end of seven weeks you can go back constantly forever and refine all the various categories but you will be doing it then with a life-history that is meaningful just as mine was some 59 years ago. Even though you will do the choosing your own foods I will give you a start-suggestion: For Day 1: 5 fruits: raisins,cantaloupe,blueberries,avacados,cranberries 4 vegetables: cauliflower, lettuce,peas,potatoes 1 meat-fish chicken 1 grain whole wheat 1 beverage: mint tea 1 oil- butter. Breakfast: 1/2 cantaloupe, bowl of blueberries-2 pieces whole wheat toasts with butter, hot mint tea after you eat not during breakfast. Additional breakfast suggestion- avacado and toast Lunch: chicken salad from small pieces of baked chicken in flour-butter sauce- only cook enough chicken for salad ,lettuce, avacado on side, iced mint tea after meal. Dinner: Baked chicken,baked in cranberry-mint sauce with flour and butter with additional cranberries on side, baked potato with melted butter, peas, cauliflower with melted butter. Raisins can be used as a snack throughout the day -any time. Because many people in a family work during the day it seems that dinner is the only time for the big meal - it would better at noon time for digestion and energy. That as it is. Don’t worry about calories or "things" but your love for yourself and the love of the taste of the food. Even for the picky eaters in a fanily there is enough here for everyone. For example if someone doesn’t like cantaloupe they still have 2 pieces of whole wheat toast with or without avacado,blueberries and hot mint tea. At lunch they may not like avacados but they have baked chichen and lettuce and iced mint tea - raisins at any time. Dinner even if they don’t like cauliflower or peas they still have baked potato and baked chicken -raisins at any time. You can have any fruits or vegetables you have already had during the previous meals too as long as you cook vegetables then and not re-heated ones. So you could additonally have avacado and lettuce or blueberries for fruit. Remember all fruits are eaten after the meal. Also even though avacado is classified as a fruit this particular one can be eaten along with vegetables. Because you are choosing what you eat you should not write down what you are going to have except for a grocery list. So don’t think cerebrally about any of these things in the way presented above but as you are preparing the meals with the foods you have available to you. Just because everyone is so wrapped up this time allotment thing which we should not necessarily be here is time for meal preparations. Breakfast- less than 4 minutes. Lunch -12-14 minutes Dinner- 16-18 minutes . Total time for all meals 36 minutes- you spent more time that that traveling back and forth to work. If you are tired when you get home from work and think you do not have 16-18 minutes of energy left to make dinner then you really do need to revamp your life and save some time during your day for energy. It will actually take you more time than 36 minutes to shop for these foods than it will to prepare them. Now forget all "things" and go on your way- go to the grocery- find the fruits,vegetables etc and love yourself and love food- your life. What we eat is generally determinded by our access to food. In our evolution food was eaten when it was obtained- harvested- killed- usually on the spot as an animal does now.It was fresh right then. It did not have time to have all kinds of bacterias,viruses and cytoplasms(in between bacteria and viruses) or microorganims to content with. All life began from bacterias of one type or another until we became a fully functioning human through many transformations. Bacterias are complete cells- viruses are not. Bacterias connect with each other. Viruses have to live off of other cells to live. Cytoplasms is far too complex for this article so will not mention their role. However one word about microorganisms is that it is probably one of the causes of major genetic malfunctions such as cancer and AIDS. Today we eat food with all types of bad guys put on them such as herbisides,pestisides,rodicides, over4000 different types of chemicals- all man-made to perserve the life span of that food and to look pretty for longer shelf life in a stores where you buy the food. All nutrients from food if it is not tampered with by genetical engineering or pesticides and the like are nature made molecules that the body blue-print can read and use. Body Bueprint: Genetically each of our bodies are engineered to recognize good and bad guys in our bodies. If the body cannot recognize them as good guys it tries to expell them either by urine,excrement,sweat,ear wax,mucus or oxidation. If we cannot expell them they stay in the body and at some point we have disease or discomfort or death. . Humans that were gassed to death in WWII had quick deaths because immediately the body could not get rid of the toxin the body-blueprint could not read but could not expell it fast enough. Even a mother giving birth to the human is expelling a foreign body (the fetus) at a particular time. It is a foreign body and thus the female wants to expell it. . We have never thought about it but the mother is a messenger of foreign matter in her body. There is nothing wrong with this science but that we have not thought of it that way. Today our food is doing a subtle form of this. Why is this allowed to happen? Money,power,greed. If I have something to sell you and I can have it available a long time I have more time to do so- a form of power over you to buy it at some point. . So we get to morality. We as humans have choices to go either way- to have morality or not to have morality and all the various shades in between. The body-blueprint in genetically geared to read the food part because the molecular structure of the food- but man-man chemicals have different molecular structures totally foreign to our body-blueprint and thus we have problems- either what we might say as physilogical (meaning body parts) mental,spirtual. All the body works together period. Even spritual depth such as love and compassion are determinded by how the body-blueprint recieves information into the body. Every thought we have comes from our internal energy field which is our body-blueprint. IT is our destiny of wellness or disease. So everything we breathe,eat,drink or think is governed by our body-blue-print. It is who we are. So if you screw around with it by not knowing or stupid actions then you can be assured problems. But you might ask why are people trying to hurt me with their foods. As I said- Money,power,greed- disguised in many ways. Yes it is a damn shame but has been going on basically since the beginning of time in different manifestations or shapes,designs. . So what do you do? . Ignorance of any kind- mental,physical,spiritual are the downfall of any human and always have been. So you must have passion for life to remove as much ignorance as possible and then hopefully when you have enough correct knowledge pass it on to those who do not have the level of awareness that you now have. So back to the body blue-print. Every thought and deed are destined by our body blue-print then we must do everything we can to protect and nuture it by thought,action and deed. . Many people have a difficult time realizing that we have very few choices in the world as a human. We have very few. The reason our body blueprint takes care of as many as it can so that the species can live and continue. Otherwise we would have died off as a species eons ago. Every thought you have is governed by the biochemical status you have at this nano-second. Good or bad thought- it does matter. . We have billions of thoughts per day and all come from these biochemicals. A person can have a dip of 2% in their serotonin if they are extremely low and go kill themselves or a person can throw up when a single toxin gets in the body because the biochemicals are put under such stress. So you thought you had a great deal of choices- you do not, but you do have some and it is that few that some say are God given or Higher Being given but many are only governed by the body blue-print in the species. . So now we are up to when to eat. In evolutionary terms we ate when we had the food available. The species has evolved now to a definite circardian rhythm which has different portions of the organism doing different things are different times- the liver detoxifies between 10-2am each night,melatonic (our sleep regenerating hormone is produced only in total darkness by the pineal gland and serotonin working properly at a different time. So if you screw around with circadian rhythms then you are making decisions that go against the body blue-print and will have problems-diseases. . If many people were really religious or spiritual they should be in total awe and wonderment at how great their God has created them in His (or Her) image. By learning your own magnificence you might learn about God or a Higher Being. This is not a lecture of religious belief but all things are certainly connected. So if you eat at 9PM all that food you ate then will not be processed until a full 24 hours later with all its bacterias or bad bacterias lining your gut and you have toxins because you did not understand circadian rhythms- All the other food from that day did detoxify though,hopefully. The time of liver detoxification 10pm-2AM. This one little problem is gigantic. Ignorance versus knowlegde . Because I degress because my thoughts come very quickly I must answer a very important question about doctors and the medical profession in this regard. If you ask the question: Why didn’t my doctor tell me about this? Either they do not know because they only studied certain text books in medical school, didn’t really care about you because they have their own biochemical instabilty or chaos or they wanted to make money in the fasted way possible and you were a commodity such as a ear of corn to sell and make them money. If you only study a few books then you only have that knowledge period. Doctors seem to be cattle in a herd that follow what they are told and never question for themselves or others benefit what they might be missing for less pain and suffering in themelves and others. So you went to an ignorant doctor. But wait a minute- We are all responsible for our physical,mental and spritual well being period. Why would anyone want to go backwards in their awareness. If you have knowledge that a four year old child is about to be hit by a truck by stepping into the street you would say so. Then use this same logic on yourself. . I previously mentioned passion. You must have care and passion for yourself- it is your responsibilty not giving over to a third party to solve what are your problems. You would not want you daughter to go out on her first date with a drug addic because you have more positive things about showing her a different direction and want in some way to protect her through your knowledge. You can not take the so-called easy way out and say your are responsible as a person. That is total non-sense. You can not have it both ways. You should think of doctors who have more knowledge if they do (you will not know until you go –if you go). But if they do not have knowledge you particularly need then walk out- but remember they will still bill you because you bit into their image. Image over substance. . So now we are past a little history and we get down to hopefully pure,freshly picked food in our mouths in a quite peaceful environment. The first thing is that all things from the foods we call nutrients have different parts of the body where each is processed and different parts of the body where it is disseminated. For example if the food contains a high amount of Vitamin B12 it starts work immediately in the mouth but if it also have Vitamin B6 as well it has to go all the way through the digestive tract in the stomach and get to the lower intestine before it is utilized. How does the body know which is which- the body-blueprint. The tiny little hair like folicules on the inside walls of this long tube we call intestines are called villi. I will get to that later but that is a major governing action of the entire organism, Yes tiny little hairs that are genetically programmed to know the differences in a particular molecule and where it should go in the body and when and how it should get there. This villi is the basis of all major health or illnesses in the human. It is not the only one but a big one. If you eat the best foods in the world with all the nutrients in them but have no way to utilize them then you still have diseases period. So do not be fooled about what something looks like. . A jelly fish looks like a bunch of mucus mass that is almost disgusting to look at but it is a fully functioning organsim and we learn to see its beauty. So Tiny little hairs are extremely important. Will get back to them later. Digestion is the process of breaking down large molecules into smaller molecules so that they can be made into amino acids which the cells can recognize and use. If you eat and are stressed about something either specific or subliminally you body will digest large molecules but fail to break them down enough into small molecules and thus the large non-used molecules that could not be used stay in the intestines and cause bacterial infections or go to other parts of the body by the blood stream and cause problems. Wow so you are 52 years old and you did not know how to eat. You may know how to but did not know what you think you know. So in various cultures for whatever reasons people calmed themselves down before they ate. . Knowledge and life are all around us but we fail to see it. Such is our ignorance. So size of molecule and where it is initiated and where it is processed are very important. Then we come to another almost prehistoric event in the organism. When we originated as a humans from all the various bacterias and the like we had oxygen as our then new ingredient- all past bacterias did not use oxygen and in fact it killed them. These so called anaroebic bacterias still exist in our bodies and even cancer cells are a form of them. Every cell in the human needs oxygen to grow and function. So if we have deceased oxygen to those cells we have diminished function. Major problem. Will get to later. . What Happens When We Change States of Energy When We Prepare Food To Eat. When we prepare food to eat we may use raw, boiling,baking,frying. Each of the ways changes the molecular structure of the original food. Water left to stand for a hour in a glass is different from when it was first poured because it has changed its molecular structure. So the major concept to remember that all things have energy and all energy is constanting changing and as a result constanting changing molecular structures. . Ovum and sperm are two different forms of energy molecular structures- not just molecules or a single molecule but many molecules together equal a molecular structure. When we have ovum and sperm together we have a start of new molecular energies not just one molecular structure as was sperm or ovum by themselves. I learned a long time ago that in order to fully communicate the person you are communicating with must understand your communication from concepts not just facts tossed out. Thus all the reasons for food preparations comes by way of concepts about energy. . If a mother has a misscarriage and aborted birth the energy may have been fine for awhile with the correct molecular structure and then something happened in the time-line of that molecular structure which caused death to that molecular structure. Yes in any species not just humans it is tragic or not understood by the mother of that offspring to be a change in energy from where it was suppose to go to a different direction with a different molecular structure. We are forever changing energy and forever changing molecular structures. We can never stop it even by death since that energy is simply regenerated even into bacterias and the like that also possess energy. Even if we cremate a body it goes into gasses which then connect to other things and energy goes on. Energy has undefined states forever. We think of life in terms of things such as foods,pleasures from emotions and the like but we would be better off to think of life as energy. Many cultures throughout history had thought that way sometimes only about specific aspects such as Chinese or Indian medicine but by thinking of energy and changing states of molecular structures we can gain more insight into our individual micro and macro worlds. The human body is both micro- meaning small or tiny and macro meaning large. But energy is both with constantly changing molecular structures and thus I define life as energy with forever changing molecular structures as a more complete explanation. So by the time you look at anything it has already changed its molecular structure that is if it is"growing". Energy and stress in the human are connected and yet not connected. Stress is the perceived amount of energy expended. Perceived is the keyword because we have two separate energy changing devises in the human- a conceptual recognition of energy expended and a non-conceptual or automatic energy devise. If you are in a car accident you will have both but even if you are sitting quietly under a tree in the park you will have energy expended and molecular changes as a result through the auto devise. If you want science then you can measure stresses with machinery to detect them but each individual organism interpets them differently in both the cognitive and auto devises. . Again if no science with machinery all we have to do is look at civilizations for thousands of years and we find many ways in almost every culture that they have at reducing stress or regrouping energy and those changing molecular structures. Sleep is perhaps the first species protection of energy conservation to reduce stress. All energy has an electronic component to it whether it is a single atom or huge molecular structure. Brain waves have been studied for years and before that peoples only needed to feel less energy expended to know they changed something that felt better. Now if you have stress and it perceived or auto devises you have changed molecular structures. Change enough of them in the wrong direction and you have death as we know it. . That is one of the reasons why many cultures throughout civilizations have taught to know life is first to know death as our teacher. In many ways it is faulty logic but many things to be gained from it. We are using cognitive or thought part of our brains to try to understand energy in a different state which does not exist in this state of existence. That may be the faulty logic part but by understanding a certain voidness,emptyness we learn to understand we only have so much energy and when it is gone we die. We have not found or may never find what keeps life going in terms of energy and then dies in any species. . It is far more than just simplistic answers- we destroyed our cells and the like. Yes it does but what about all the unexplainable things that happen to any species to continue its species. Bacterias migrated in to a different energy and then that energy became something else and so on. I once read in historical Vedas texts of some 5000 years ago about a phrase that our life energy will change and death will appear after 180 million breaths. I do not find this as fact but as the Vedas were teaching tools to understand energy so humankind would not only be in awe of their own humanness but of all living beings- human,animals or even plants. So if you are given only so much energy until you die what are you going to do with it is the lesson of studying death as a lesson for life. Some say praise God or Higher Being- some say pleasure life- some have views maybe I have not even known existed. But it does raise the paramount question of why do you want to be healthly. So you have less pain and suffering. I hope so but beyond that what? Purpose and intent to life is energy expended yes with what we would call stress perceivers. Purpose and intent are energies that all species have not just humans. Animals not only protect and feed their young but also have all kinds of so-called sixth senses of where that animal is even a great distances. A elephant may be on the other side of a mountain and communicate with his friend 5 miles away of the other side of the mountain. So all of this just for food preparations- yes because you have to understand how energy works first. . So you might be concerned with a bacterial urinary infection or cold virus but it has to do with energy and molecular changes first. Thus the so-called immune system a good guy and a bad guy. The immune system tells when we have a foreign body or foreign molecular structure the body blue-print can not read and does not know what to do with it. This is good but the problem many times comes from the overreactive response from the immune system. Sometimes it like a flea being killed by a canon. Histamines raise in the body to respond to the threat- this is called inflamation. So people attempt to get histamines down with antihistamine medications sold at the drug store. Here is the problem- it does lower histamines but does not really destroy them and that is a big difference. Your inflamation went down and you feel better but where did the histamines go? Throughout the body and brain. But they also sometimes take over neurotransmitters that we need to function -so-called mentally. But if you use body blue-print nutrients that the body knows the molecular structure of then you not only get lower histamines and feel better but you have not damaged other parts of the cells you need later in life- a few weeks or years later. I will not get into white cells,T cells and the like of the immune system now but the above explanation is a start in a simplistic way to understand the immune system. I have included all allergies- (including food allergies which many times are more dangerous to the organism than gasoline fumes,pesticides and the like) as foreign molecular structures. A quick little test to determine if you have high histamines of an infection you did not even know you had simply buy 50mg capsules of straight flush niacin- Vitamin B3. If you have high histamines which is the immune system indicator of inflammation then you will have a flushed –red –slightly burning feeling throughout your body.This indicates rather severe infection. If you do not have flush then you do not have an infection. The reason for the small amount is that you already have a build-up of histamines in your body before taking the capsule as if the glass were almost full and the capsule made it overflow. Wait about 7 hours and do the same proceedure with 100mg to see if you have a flush or not. If you did at 50mg you will at 100mg but if none –fine --but wait until the next day and use 150 mg and if you have a flush this indicates that in fact you still have an infection or inflamation. If no flush you are fine for inflamatory problems. The flush is totally harmless and only indicated an immune system release of histamines as our red flag of illness. The not so mysterious part is the evolution of omega 3 in brain development. Also even if they are not classified as probiotics you should also take all pancreatic enzymes (proteolytic enzymes-sometimes called digestive enzymes).Some work for fatty foods,others have various jobs. So if you do not produce enough of these plus have good gut bacterias you can eat the best nutritional foods and they are not processed or utilized to their maximum good and in a way you would almost be better off not to eat because of all the toxins produced by bad actions of no functions of the gut and pancreas. In fact a patient in the hospital with severe pancreatitis is not feed anything for two or three days hopeing the pancreas will repair itself some. An aside- if one gets cancer of the pancreas then one only has about 5-6 months to live since the pancreas is a major controller of enzyme distribution of all food types. So raw food,bolied food,fried food,baked foods are four different states of energy- molecular changes the body must deal with. Plus the energy is constantly changing during the length of time you are frying,baking or whatever you use so you have a different set of molecular structures for you body. At first choice one would say eat raw- sometimes correct- sometimes deadly. For example a green bean cooked in water is fine but to eat a raw green bean will either make you very sick or even death. . You may have already gotten a little fear going as to the fact that you will never figure this thing out about what to do and what not to and it takes so much energy- time and hardship and who in hell cares anyway. The human condition yes has all that too but how did you even live this long- Somethings you did right and some wrong but you are still here. Do not deny you fears of life and do not dwell on them either- simply realize they are part of who you are and they can teach you unbelievable concepts of being human from the most tragic cases of your pain and suffering. . I once heard a rather doctrinare person say that we as humans caused pain and suffering by our own ignorance and that God did not have a thing to do with it. My belief is a loving God or Higher Being and He or She put this here as a special gift to teach us how to be more human- not less. Yes it is difficult. Yes it is demanding and yes it is very rewarding to know you come to another level of humaness too. Life is not a train station we are at but one we are going towards. We never arrive but look at the awe of life as we go. Life is process- process of pain and suffering,ignorance and knowledge. Do we ever arrive? I hope not -the journey is far too beautiful to stop now. It may seem I am giving you morality lessons instead of what you can do to be responsible for your own health and well being. Yes and no. Why would you deny energy one time and say it valid the next. . So cook your food as many Chinese cultures do- simply wash it carefully, then cook only long enough to kill access bacterias. Stir fried with good olive oil. You may not know that some 2550 years ago Lord Buddha as he was called was asked what is the first medicine. His answer boiled water. It does stimulate and get ready the entire digestive system to prepare for the intake of food. Do not fry food period if you can help it. So we must determine which nutrients within food (which includes liquids) give us the best chance for our so-called straving organism. It is no surprize when I see people very overweight and they weight 270-400 lbs. and know that they are in fact straving- but they are. The human organism has all kinds of what are called redundant mechinisms to always readjust the body. If you have a stroke on one side of the brain portions of the other side take over the damaged cells for function. So when these redundants get over-loaded then we have great problems. Overweight is in no way a moral issue and should never be but a biochemical issue of major importance. Glycation is a term for glucose sugar in what we eat binds to some of the DNA,proteins and lipids (a form of cholesterol) leaving them unable to do their job. Restricting calories intake extends life period. The first thing a medical student should study in detail in med-school should be nutrition. When I did a survey of all the medical schools in North America back in 1999 only three required nutrition and 6 offered it as an elective that the students did not have to take if they so desired. This is totally crazy. There are 126 medical schools in North America. If you asked a doctor what the PH level of green beans is- what are the nutrients within that green bean- when you should eat it and when not to eat it- what is the natural histamine level-what blood type should eat it and which should not or if you have an anitgen-allergic reaction what you should do and all the more questions those doctors will say see a nutritionalist or give you some ego manifested mumbo-jumbo. Even a fetus inside a womb knows what it wants and need many times. The mother will crave a certain food and may never in her life really liked that food- it is for the fetus and sometimes even the mother becomes slightly ill by providing the fetus with what it wants. I joke with my wife Susan that she ate three watermelons in one day- she said only two. So now we get into social-cultural and other aspects of eating that many times are as far away for biochemical health as they can be. The exact opposite of the person needing water or the fetus desiring certain nutrients. Since cultural evolution is perhaps the greatest teaching tool then we must look at ways it explains foods that our bodies need to thrive. For over at least 15000 years we have been harvesters- farms or wildcrafting harvest from wild plants for our food. Because many of those living then could not adjust genetically -they died off and we were left with people who did not have antigen reactions and remained and it is from many of those that we got our genes (those with again many antigen-mutations). Wheat was one of these crops cultivated in Iraq,Iran,Egypt,Turkey etc. Those that had major antigen reactions of wheat for example in Ireland only 3000 years ago- a newcomer to wheat cultivation have the highest rate of schizophrenia and celiac disease(wheat senitivity causing schizophrenic types of behaviors) in the world because they have a reaction genetically to wheat among other cultivated crops. Also a phenomenon is that genetically the number of cell divisions(called telomere) of an individual cell increased the number of times it can divide to make a new cell. Some scientists now estimate we are up to 45-55 cell divisions now and thus we live longer. In each cell division we stand the chance of damage to the DNA- (our mapping code for cellular health) and this may cause otherwise normal cells to be unusual cells we call cancer cells or dysfunctional cells. Free radicals which I will talk about later are directly related to DNA damage and cells dividing and possible cancerous type cells. In stead of the cells dieing off and being replaced by new cells with all the good DNA parts we have two different types of cells- one good and one cancerous and because the cancerous cell does not have all the correct DNA to kill itself we have duplication of that cancerous cell into other cancerous cells as if it was an original "mother cell" giving cell duplication and cell replacement -all with the damaged DNA which then because of their damaged DNA move to any part of the body which we call metastices. All this from one damaged DNA cell. The simply way to see telomeres (what cell dividing is called) is in the action of sperm and egg joined together. An enzyme now called telomerase is a catalytic protein that causes the first cell divisions. These are what we call stem cells or the "mother cells"-giving the "original" cell it birth from which all other will follow. There is a difference between the original "mother cell" and "differienated mothercells" but I will not get into that here. When we find a way to have continuos cell dividing without damage to the DNA when the cell is dividing and what to do with free radicals that damage DNA we will indeed extent life spans. Later in this article I tell you of Yeshi Dhoden and a woman who lived to be 180 years of age. She probably in fact had very little DNA damage over her long lifetime and thus she lived to be 180. What is the mechanism in the human that some very few seem to have- all the good guys of no cell division DNA damage and very little impact from free radicals to live longer. My own belief system tells me it is not a mechanism in terms of scientific analysis but has none of the attributes of our ability to see it or measure it but comes from thought even though we say thoughts come from our biochemicals. Here is were the dilema is. We did not know about neurotransmitters 100 years ago so science moved until we did understand some of them but I believe that a form of meditative state where we are not even on this plane of existence allows non-explainable things to happen that cause a different non-measurable biochemical status that offers freedom from DNA damage and free radicals. Some call it the central nervous system but if it is then it is something deep in the CNS that allows this to happen. I once remember talking to a local dentist about high forms of meditations of Janist monks in India who for as many as 25 years hold one arm up toward the sky and have meditated for 25 years continuously. I can’t even hold my arm toward the air for 15 minutes so what is going on here. Village people clean up the urine and excrement and feed the monk very small parcels of food and drink even though the monk is still meditating. The dentist said to me " what a waste of life". The dentist said he could never do that. No he probably could not . The monk had transcended all harm of free radicals,bacterias,fungi,,microorganisms and the like. How is this possible for this to happen just by thought or lack of thought as is the case of meditation- the search for voidness. The cultural thing that is amazing is the respect from the villagers to know they are witnessing something special instead of tossing off the monk as some sort of crazy person. So it is from something that for more than 5000 years is again given to us and we refuse to say it exist in some form for us as well and instead we ridicule. In the USA in 1900 the longest avearge person’s life was 50 not 76-80 now. If that holds true for the present century we are in now then 100 years from now the average age will be 110+ years- some may be 150 and some may only be 90. Something is going in the right direction and something is not. If you slow down when the time of the division of cells occurs you would live longer and hopefully be in good health is the theory. So again death is our teacher for life. When we die our cells have done all their divisons but not at the same time and near the end of death we have what I call cascading cell death. One cell death starts a whole group of cells that really were not done with cell divisions and had more to go - they die too- prematuely. That is why people may not have had heart disease of any kind finally end up at death with a massive heart attack from the kidneys or lungs not having enough function and caused by a cascade of premature cell deaths and then ultimate death. Altzheimer"s people have neuron death but many divisions left in other areas. I had a grandmother and a great aunt who lived 8 and 9 years respectively. Their ages were 91 and 102 with their bodies in this existence and with their minds off in some other place. Susan is my wife. Recently her father two months from the age of 96 died. He had a very wonderful life and no diseases except an occasional cold,no surgeries and the like, no dementia, Parkinsons, Huntingtons or the like. He in fact had a cascade of telomere destruction near the end of his life. He died at home. His son moved him downstairs to the main floor because of some steep steps. He did not have any massive telomere destruction until one week before his death. Diapers were put on him the last four days because he did not have enough energy to get up and go the bathroom. Still no drugs for pain until the last three days of his life. Two days before he died his lungs started to fill with fluids.A few drugs were given for discomfort. He no longer talked but was very cognitive and his brain function was still in tact. The next morning he died. He always wanted to go in his sleep but awoke for a few seconds,a tear ran down his cheek, closed his eyes and he was dead. All telomeres ceased. They worked until basically the last week of his life. Cognitive to the very end as the tear indicated his emotions. Really quite amazing. IR TELEOMERES AND LONG CELL LIFE Free radicals incease telomeres ( cell dividing) useage. The more free radicals= the more damage to the DNA and less life of the cells. Free radicals are bad guys that do all kinds of damage to cell divisions. A free radical is a molecule which has two electrons of oxygen which makes it a very unstable molecule instead of 4 electrons of oxygen which makes it stable and desireable for health in the human. Two little electrons can and many times does kill us literally. This is called oxidation or oxidative- a bad guy not a good guy. They come from the air we breathe,inflamation,infection, alcohol and cigarettes. These can come from bacterias,viruses and cytoplasms (in between bacteria and viruses) or microorganims Some scientists are already saying that if we can control free radicals, repair cell divisions time lines we could live to be 1000 years old and then die by murder, accidents or some unknown bacterial infection. So now ask me why a med-student does not study and I will tell you why. Because they are as I said in my previous article: medical students are like cattle and only follow what they are told- no vision or insight into anything else. How do you get free radicals: from oxidation of anything. That is why we use the word antioxidant in referring to a nutrient to get rid of free radicals. Free radicals from solids: any burnt fried food- the more brunt the more free radicals, high protein foods once in the body and bacteria in the gut even good guys turn it into histamines- so any meat fits into that category but beef is worse than chicken or turkey—so eat more fruits and vegetables but remember than even they have a vary amount of preformed histamins and when in the gut turn into histamines.—from gasses: any petrocarbon-gas flume diesel,kerosene,any heated oil beyond its boiling point especially---Two things I have always wondered about- why would digging something up from the earth 5000 feet or so be so important- it is down 5000 feet for a reason - what if Henry Ford or others had used a different sort of energy to power their autos. Perhaps we would already live to be 130 years old now for an average life- this one concept of energy source would have changed the world and its people- (perhaps out of brilliance come ignorance)- free radicals from petrochemicals is the single most damaging element in the world ,its people and the planet itself. It is the largest single most damaging element in the history of mankind. liquids:from alcohol of any kind- white or brown sugar drinks of any kind-xylitol a sugar made from the bark of the birch tree is a wonderful substitute for white or brown sugar and does not have any insulin producing activity in the pancreas-liver-- the Norwegians did not have sugar in World War II so they discovered birch bark-- Major antioxidants to take now everyday forever- Vitamin C 3000 mg,Lipoic acid, Quercetin, Co enzyme 10,Vitamin A ,E,selenium,zinc,bioflavonoids,carotenoids and others daily. Antioxidant foods from highest to lowest of twenty foods: small red beans,wild blueberries,red kidney beans,pinto beans,cultivated blueberries,cranberries,blackberries, prunes,raspberries, strawberries,red delicous or granny smith apples, pecans,sweet cherries,black plums,russett potatoes, black beans, plums, gaga apples,and walnuts. Do not forget histamine or PH levels. Look carefully at the list and you will find many bean species. If you add a grain to a legune or bean you have a complete complex protein which you need.A bowl of beans and cornbread (a grain) equals the same protein as an 8 ounce steak of beef and much better for you. Bean plus any grain equals a complex protein. Thus rice and beans etc.There are entire cultures that have lived for thousands of years on beans plus a grain- Mexico,Spain,China,Tibet, India,Native American Indians, and in fact it generally is the rule except in cultures who do not have a long enough growing season to cultivate grains such as the Inuit and a few others. Then notice the berries species. Even apples and nuts are very good for you if they are the correct species. There is no animal product anywhere that has antioxidant properties and in fact they make them. Add these foods to your diet and reap the benefits of their antioxidant content. Vegetables Carrots, broccoli, sweet potatoes, squash, tomatoes, collard greens, spinach, Brussels sprouts and kale. These bright colorful vegetables are rich in vitamin A and carotenoids and lycopene which are powerful antioxidants. Fruits Cantaloupes, apricots, water melon, pink grapefruits, strawberries, cranberries, papaya and concord grapes are the fruits we need to add to our diets from which we will get more vitamins A, C, and lycopene. Nuts and Seeds Nuts and seeds are great sources of vitamin E which is an effective antioxidant that studies have documented to be effective in preventing heart diseases and strokes. Adding peanuts, almonds, cashews, hazels nuts and sunflower seeds will provide prevention against the hazards of free radicals. Caution should be taken when adding any nut to your diet since nuts can cause an allergic reaction. Peanuts are known to cause allergic reaction in some people. This we would call the cave-man diet, the original type of diet before cavemen had the ability to kill animals. The major problem is that you have to consume so much of any of these to get a potent amount. Yes they help but getting concentrated form of nutrients also helps a great deal. Nutrient manufacturers rarely go to original sources of plant life for their nutrients. If they do it is better for you. I remember figuring out that you would have to eat 620 leafs of spinach to get 220 mcg of folic acid- your gut and other parts could not stand that much ruffage. They usually use an exact molecular structure of that nutrient and thus it is man-made. I guess they learned it from phramacuetical companies. The body blue-print does read it as a vitamin it can recognize. Herbs are for some reason just easier and cheaper to buy in raw form so they generally do not do a molecular duplicate proceedure with herbs. If you already have a overload of free radicals as does most of the western world then you should in addition to the foods take concentrated forms of antioxidants daily. IR ANTIOXIDANTS AND FREE RADICALS As I have done before I only communicate from concepts. You now have a few basic concepts of cell divisions and free radicals which can help you determine what food you eat. Your body is genetically engineered to be slightly thin in appearance so any body fat is an indicator of malnutrition or misdirected nutrients or function. Even if your are 6foot 4 inches you should not weigh more than 185 –200lbs . Cells have to have room to move where they are suppose to be with the correct nutrients in them plus the myriad of problems for all the organ systems- hollow or solid organs. The first thing to go in bad health is usually the gut -a hollow organ. It may appear in another hollow organ the skin. Balance your neurotransmitters in your brain and you will get to the correct weight period. Neurotransmitters control far more than just thoughts and behavior. Now down to another major fact- just as 2 electrons in free radicals cause major unstable molecules the PH level ( potential hydrogen) which is acid-base governs all correct cellular function. Acidity levels are 0 to 7 and 7.1 to 14 are base or good guys. There is no and I say no diseases period when the the PH level stays at 7.4. The blood stays at a constant 7.35 level and if you vary to 7.55 or 7.25 you are dead because the blood can not vary that much even to what would seem would be alright to go to 7.55. The blood must stay constant. The cells –not blood cells have the variations . If we are at 5.5 we are acidic or 4.0 very acidic for the cells and only a very little portion of what we eat is usaeable. Buy what is called nitrozene paper or PH paper for human body fluids from your local health food store and test your urine and saliva and you will for certain be acidic especially if you have been eating so-called western diets. Test yourself several time a day. Try to figure what foods can raise towards base PH levels. There is a built in devise in the liver and spleen that will not allow you to go too much beyond 7.0. If you happen to be 3.4 to 5.0 acidity is killing your cells period and great difficulty with cell divisions.. Take 1/8 teaspoon of sodium-bicarbonate four times a day with half glass of water . You have a bicarbonate pump (and in fact is called that) in your body(which is to regulate the base levels of PH thus no diesase) but it needs help with the high acidity reading. After you get it somewhat regulated check you fluids every fourth or fifth day or so. Acidosis, or over-acidity in the body tissues, is one of the basic causes of many diseases, especially the arthritic and rheumatic diseases. All foods are "burned" in the body--more commonly called "digested"-- leaving an ash as the result of the "burning", or the digestion. This food ash can be neutral, acid or alkaline, depending largely on the mineral composition of the foods. Some foods leave an acid residue or ash, some alkaline. The acid ash (acidosis) results when there is a depletion of the alkali reserve or the diminution in the reserve supply of fixed bases in the blood and the tissues of the body. It is, therefore, vitally important that there is a proper ratio between acid and alkaline foods in the diet. The natural ratio in a normal healthy body is approximately 4.5 to .50 – 4.5 parts alkaline to one par.50acid, or 90% to 10%. When such an ideal ratio is maintained, the body has a strong resistance against disease. In the healing of disease, when the patient usually has acidosis, the higher the ratio of alkaline elements in the diet, the faster will be the recovery. Alkalis neutralize the acids. Therefore in the treatment of most diseases it is important that the patient's diet includes plenty of alkaline-ash foods to offset the effects of acid-forming foods and leave a safe margin of alkalinity. A healthy body usually keeps large alkaline reserves which are used to meet the emergency demands if too many acid-producing foods are consumed. But these normal reserves can be depleted. When the alkaline-acid ratio drops to 3 to 1, health can be seriously menaced. Your body can function normally and sustain health only in the presence of adequate alkaline reserves and the proper acid-alkaline ratio in all the body tissues and the blood. For optimum health and maximum resistance to disease, it is imperative that your diet is over-alkaline. The ideal ratio, according to the world's foremost authority on the relationship between the acid-alkaline ratio in the diet in health and disease, your diet should about 90% alkali-producing foods and 10% acid-producing foods. Sprouted seeds and grains become more alkaline in the process of sprouting. All vegetable and fruit juices are highly alkaline. The most alkali-forming juices are: fig juice, green juices of all green vegetables and tops, carrots, beet, celery, pineapple and citrus juices. There is sometimes a problems of kidney stoneformation by too long and too much on high alkaline foods. The bad guy that causes the stones is oxalate and some of the highest alkalizing foods are: -1. Spinach, rhubarb, beets (both the root and the greens), nuts and nut butters, chocolate and cocoa, green and black tea, wheat bran (in high amounts), soybeans and foods made from soy, and strawberries. -1. Other foods commonly held to contain high oxalate, such as cola beverages and coffee, do not actually contain much oxalate. But stone formers should not consume these beverages as part of an overall healthy diet. If you absorb too much oxalate from the foods in your diet, your risk for calcium oxalate stones increases dramatically. How does oxalate absorption get too high? -1. Some individuals lack the enzyme necessary to break down oxalate in the gastrointestinal tract. These individuals have primary hyperoxaluria type 1 (more severe) or 2 (less severe). Even a severe oxalate restriction will not cure these individuals from their disease, but it may reduce their risk for stones. -1. Some individuals have enteric hyperoxalauria, meaning that their intake of the plant foods that are rich in oxalate is too high for their GI tract to handle. Take your probiotics.These individuals benefit from a restriction of high-oxalate foods. (Interestingly, though, studies show that vegetarians, whose oxalate intake is typically two to three times that of non-vegetarians, actually have a lower risk for calcium oxalate kidney stones.) Other individuals absorb too much oxalate because: (a) their dietary fat intake is too high; (b) their calcium intake is too low; or (c) their calcium intake is adequate but not timed with meals. Oxalate is fat-soluble, so reducing the fat you eat, especially saturated fat, may reduce the amount of oxalate you absorb. What about the calcium-oxalate connection? Oxalate absorption is dramatically decreased with an appropriate amount of calcium (approximately 1000 mg/day for most individuals), consumed in divided doses at meal times, when you are most likely to consume plant foods that contain oxalate. Thus, individuals who don't require a severe oxalate restriction can still eat those healthy foods if they take care to have a small glass of milk or other calcium-rich food at every meal. When the oxalate and the calcium are present in the GI tract at the same time, they bind together and neither is absorbed. Various cultures,especially the countries of India,China and Tibet have over some 6000 years devised a system of designating all foods as to what the PH level is and who can have it and who should not have it for food. It is complex and simple. If you eat a food that is very acidic say 5.4 then you have to balance it with some food that has a PH level in the base range say 7.8. This has been proven even scientifically to be very accurate even though there were no scientific analysis 6000 years ago. They did it by many eons of experimenting. Do not use your own judgement as to why and how a food is determined as such and such. You will not understand how a cucumber can have such a high PH rating and another seemingly calm food can be so acidic to the body. We think and call many spices such as pepper,salt,sage,cardamon, etc as culinary spices. They may be called that but they are the balancing spices for the 6 different tastes in ayurvedic medicine. Because the body functions with basically three humours or cellular attributes (called in Tibetan medicine wind,digestive bile and phlegm and in Indian ayurvedic medicine vata,dosha and pitta- the Chinese medicine model is basically 2 divisions of hot and cold) we have three types of people and then that three types have subgroups to the main three. Each type has specific characteristics that fit the physical, mental and even spiritual part that is dominant in a particular individual- you may be pitta or phlegm and I might be wind or vata. But these vary from time to time or from illness too and so we have a dominant humour or attribute and a process as well. All things are remember energy and all growing energy is in constant change forever thus even if you have dominant attribute you still have molecular changes or process too. So a food good for a pitta or phlegm person may not be good at all for a wind or vata person etc. In Tibetan medicine by feeling 6 different pulse for some 30 minutes with three fingers they can tell what is going on inside your body in terms of organ systems- hollow or solid. They can also tell what type of body humor is dominant and where you are with any destructive variations such as an illness. Do not be fooled into thinking that all you have to do is eat the food for your dominant humour and you will be well forever but it does help not to go too far away from it. Remember we are talking about balance of all three humours not a single humour. All three must be in balance not just one. How on God’s green earth did they figure this out- very complicated and books have been written on just how they found out- far too complicated for even a simplistic answer. Because Indians ,Chinese and Tibetans had very little funds to spend for doctors even thousands of years ago they devised this medicine so the individual could be responsible too on their own when they could. IR BALANCING THE THREE HUMORS(HUMOURS) This too just like cell divisions is genetic -in the DNA on each of the 46 chromosones of every cell in the body. Thus if you eat from foods of one humour and you are another humour then you have a conflict. So are you totally hacked off that you have to do all this crap just to eat. Don’t be angry with me but your culture and all the power-money people that get in the way of your health. If you grew up and your mother said eat your vegtables but certain ones only you would now eat them and think nothing of it. I even know a child who really does not like white sugar- a rare thing in this culture and good for him. If you eat the correct food for you PH level and blood type and balance the three humours you will in fact delay the cell division time and live longer period. Dr.Yeshi Dhoden was for 18 years the Dalai Lama’s doctor. Dhoden (now 82) when he was mere child met a woman nun then 131 years old. She died when she was 180 years old. She has been death about 25 years as per Dhonden.So if my figures are correct she was born in 1803 and died in 1983. The age is not the unusual thing. The unusual thing is that she only took herbs and herbal tea (essence-extracts pills) and a little food from a late age on and meditated which relaxed her central nervous system. Because the Tibetan culture is so homogenous- meaning they know who did "what and when" for over 1200 years. They knew when this person was born and when she died. She was in great health until the last month of her life. Obviously she had delayed her cell divisions and she had a long healthy life. These are the key words- long and healthy not just a long life. One has to wonder what the purpose and intent of her long life was. Obviously she had a reason to have lived that long in good health. So we think we figure out life and do not even begin to touch the "unknowable truths" from some Higher Being. Also one has to wonder at a Tibetan who only eats brown barley, a piece of bread and water or tea for breakfast,works all day then has leek soup,bread and tea at night and lives to be 90 or so. Why? Because their central nervous system is working properly in a relaxed state. So I am totally and completely convienced that thought in the form of deep meditation is the gretaer key to health than even food. But to access that degree of deep-thought meditation is very ,very difficult. Yet the Tibetans could and do offer it free of charge because of their sincere hope that each of us individually will find peace and health within us as creatures of worth for humanity and rise to a higher level of Higher Being energy for all time. In the West we are amazed at the age. I personally am amazed at the worth and guidance of such a woman who gave so much of purpose and intent to life by her being. She and others prove ,if you want in so-called "scientific terms," that thought is more useful and powerful than substances. But all things must have "purpose and intent" and even then the correct purpose and intent. Is purpose and intent given by some Higher Being or do we develop it with the Higher Being? I simply do not know. So the next time a situation of anykind arises in your mind you might ask yourself about the purpose and intent of that thought and its everlasting definition for then and all future of all creatures. This is not simply philosphical thinking but very practical respect for deep-thought and what it can do for good or bad simply by our intentions even without any action. So the complete process of thought may start with the purpose and intent of harvesting the herbs, the thoughts of praise and meditation over these herbs, then preparing the herbs and all the mantra deep-meditations over the herbs, then giving it to someone who has prepared through their deep meditations and continued deep meditations and we get an amazing look at our Higher Being in full truth because of our purpose and intent from the beginning. Yes it went through various processes and various individuals all with deep-meditations and one would assume the final person is the recipient of these deep meditations but all have seen their Higher Being in some form through their deep meditations along the way. There is no history of thought taught,learned anywhere on this planet that I know of that does this. So it is not about medicine and health but far more than that. Medicine and health are the mere bi-products of the complete process of deep-metitation with purpose and intent. To me it is without question the most beautiful experience one could have as a human- to know you experienced part of the Higher Being and you as a human are in full recoginiton of that experience. Now tell me the world would not be a better place for all creatures if we could get people to understand and sincerely, without any manipulation, have this experience available to them. It does not happen and will not happen and pain and suffering go on. The woman nun is more than perhaps even she knew or maybe she did know. At any rate it is more than life itself to me. Yet we think we have to eat four or five times a day and stuff all types of crap into bodies and we die at 70 with massive problems in between. Additionally there is the histamine factor which I stated in artice #1 which I repeat here some of it but refer to article #1 for nutrients to take to get high histamines down. Thus the so-called immune system a good guy and a bad guy. The immune system tells when we have a foreign body or foreign molecular structure the body blue-print can not read and does not know what to do with it. This is good but the problem many times comes from the overreactive response from the immune system. Sometimes it like a flea being killed by a canon. Histamines raise in the body to respond to the threat- this is called inflamation. So people attempt to get histamines down with antihistamine medications sold at the drug store. Here is the problem- it does lower histamines but does not really destroy them and that is a big difference. Your inflamation went done and you feel better but where did the histamines go? Throughout the body and brain. But they also sometimes take over neurotransmitters that we need to function -so-called mentally. But if you use body blue-print nutrients that the body knows the molecular structure of then you not only get lower histamines and feel better but you have not damaged other parts of the cells you need later in life- a few weeks or years later. High histamine foods: any shellfish,some fish especially warm water-egg,nuts,chocolate-some berries-tomatoes-cheese- the more aged the worst- milk , wheat,pineaplle,any alcohol and especially any fermented foods such as pickles,ketchup,sauerkraut because they are farther down the histamine processing chain- any foods with any artifical colors or dyes BHT perservative-- so when you eat a pizza you get a huge burst of high histamines- cheese ,tomatoes,wheat plus pepperoni. Foods allowed: plain milk pasturized- ricotta cheese, no yeast breads- rice,spelt,millets,barley,some wheat, Vegetables you can have: any fresh or frozen with the exception of no eggplant,pumpkin,sauerkraut,spinach,tomatoes and all tomatoe products- all beans except soy beans or red beans Oils: olive,butter not margerine- xylitol,honey,maple syrup,Meats: turkey,chicken,beef, cold water North Atlantic fishes- cod,mackeral,herring, Fruits you can have:apple-banana,canteloupe-figs-grafefruit-grapes-honeydew-kiwi-lemon-lime-mango- pear-watermelon So now you have histamines,the PH level, the three humours, blood type and free radicals and you have not touched one ounce of food yet. Many so -called cooking speice which are actually balancing foods for ayurvedic medicine are also tatsy and helpful to reduce high histamines—clove-cinnamon-cardomon=tumeric-pepper-clove- Another way to aid in the PH is to think of potassium versus sodium ratio of 5 parts potassium foods to one part sodium foods. Thus basically means five fruits to one food that is more acidic. Some foods are by nature sodium based such as celery so be careful somewhat since there are not that many. IR 2 SEARCHES -SODIUM FOODS- POTASSIUM FOODS The evolution of the human brain is not really mysterious in some ways and very mysterious in so many ways that we will undoubtedly never figure it out ever. The not so mysterious part is the evolution of omega 3 in brain development. Where the first amount of omega 3 came from is anyone’s guess but at some point in our evolution we started to acquire more omega 3 from different foods especially lake and ocean fish. Even by that time the size of the bones of the skull and shape of the skull got larger to compensate for more omega 3. The brain is made as some estimate of 40%+ of omega 3 and omega 3 controls so many actions native to the human functions. Without it we would be merely animals. In fact even animals must have known something special about omega 3 in the brain of other animals because they would only eat the brains of animals and leave the remainder for other animals. Recently even though we feed our cats well one of our cats has always had a very large animal instinct for anything outside of our house that is eatable and one day my wife and I were talking outside and Susan said look, Bramha, our cat, has just killed another rabbit and only the head was missing- the remainder of the rabbit was in tack. Much research for some 50 years has been done on omega 3 and you can readilty find a great deal. Here comes the bad news- almost all native or existing omega 3 in our brains is diminshed by eating omega 6 and omega 9 foods. In western foods basically have about 80-90% or more omega 6 and 9 and we do not need them but we do need omega 3. Do not be fooled because your head is on your shoulders and your heart or liver is inside you chest- they are all controlled by neurotransmitters in your brain- pure and simple. So work backwards and you will find why you have heart problems. Fisrt you have no omega 3 to speak of and transmitters cannot function to control all the things the so-called doctors say cause us to have heart problems such as cholesterol,high blood pressure and obseity,sugar metabolism problems or diabetes, kidney problems and the like. So no omega 3 enough – no neurotransmitter balances and guess who has heart disease. It really is not complicated. But you are eating omega 6 and omega 9 foods and will never get any better but have more problems until your mind even starts to play tricks on you too. I remember a doctor once that stated that omega 3 is only from fish- yes and no. Yes fish especially and only coldwater Northern Atlantic fish have enough omega 3 but there are some plants that do have some omega 3 as well- few but some. Also do not go out and buy a bunch of fish at the store and think you will get your omega 3 up unless you get North Atlantic cold water fishes- cod,haddock,mackeral ,herring and a few others. Don’t even think of frying- see article #- bake it- not grilled or fried. IR 3 SEARCHES OMEGA 3 FOODS- LACK OF OMEGA 3- BALANCING OMEGA 3 IN YOUR DIET If you had always eaten correctly this way it really would not be a problem. I remember my first trip to Europe back in 1970 and I flew a night flight on Icelandic Airlines- before we reached a stop-over in Iceland they served breakfast and I was one of those that put my nose in the air and would not eat it because it was herring with cream sauce and peas and a stable of the Icelandic people. But if I had grown up with it I would probably think it was great. Biochemically it was great- omega 3 + all the other nutrients. You will have to learn how to prepare good food with omega 3 that you and your family find appealing to the eye and tongue. So we need omega 3 every day of our lives in some amount- then our brains and systems throughout the body will work especially if we get histamines down,PH levels up, and the correct humoural balance. You can not fully get histamines under control or balance humours or the PH level to the proper place unless the neurotransmitters are working correctly and they come from omega 3. If there was ever a magic potion for life I would have to say it is omega 3. They are just starting to do exhaustive research on omega 3 and cell division time-lines. We are getting closer to finding something to relieve some pain and suffering. Here we go: COOKING WITH NUTRIENTS: Even though some nutrients loose some of their potency and effectivness as a nutrient when exposed to heat- this will help. Take and slide the capsules apart and pour contents into a small glass with a little water. When you are taking the capsules apart be certain to taste them and they should taste rather bland and non-descript. The only ones that do not that we have used are Vitamin B6 and Zinc- each requires you to add one teaspoon xylitol for each capsule. If you are not cooking with them you can simply put them in milk or any kind of natural juice and they loose even less their potency. Here is what I use use for brownies (even though it is chocolate) for one 8 inch pan= 600 mg 5htp tyrptophan fro griffonia bush, 1000 mg methionine,2000mg tyrosine,400 gaba phrama, 3000 inositol (Vitamin B8), 5000 Vitamin C,2000mg magnesium,2000mg calcium,100mg Vitamin b6 with one teaspoon xylitol 100mg zinc with one teaspoon xylitol. I have no way of figuring out exactly what each brownie yields in nutrients per brownie but it does make a huge difference for those that are starved for those nutrients. Obviously liquids would yield more. You can also cook with sauces with it as well. If you ever note a taste you do like and want it sweeter just add some xylitol or for more strong taste either lemon or especially lime or other spices such as pepper, sage etc. So you could have cod with a lemon-lime sauce with a little flour and liquid nutrients made into a slight weinerschitzel type crust. Quite good. There are obviously no recipes for these sorts of things but just use good cookbook recipes and add the nutrients as well. As an experiment do not tell anyone the first time you do this and be certain to taste before you put it in the oven and when it is done before serving and see if your family likes it. They may not ever need to be told. These nutrrients I have used here are basically for neurotransmitters and some are histamine reducing- some for free radicals- all are necessary for good health. Herbs seem to be very difficult to disquise. Vitamin B1/2 4/5 12 also. Trace minerals- never tried maganese which you should be very careful anyway- molybdenum never tried- chromium never tried-selenium never tried-potassium never tried-never any copper- if you live to be 500 because you have been eating omega 6 and 9 foods the chances of you depleting copper in your system is rather remote- it is necessary but I think you certinly have your share of copper. PMS and postpartum depression or even anger are the result of increased copper. In PMS the copper increase only last for a few days then hopefully returnsback to 90 dl normal forhumans. In postpartum it can last 6 or 7 months. Zinc is the counter active nutrient to reduce copper so take at least 150mg on the beginning day of PMS and always take at least 75 md daily otherwise. If you find that you have a pimple or zit on your face that is a strong givaway that your are low on zinc. By the way on the coastal regions near Nagasaki ,Japan the women have never had PMS problems because they eat the fish and vegetables grown with soil from the sea which gives them calcium,magnesium and zinc among other things. One additional side remark. All oral contraceptives increase copper. Another remark is that if you crave chocolate as many women do during PMS it is like a dope addic needing a fix. You brain tricked you to want a bad guy. Chocolate is very high in copper.You already have high copper and yet you want more. You feel great for an hour then lousy again. I will talk in detail about PMS and postpartum in my next article. A VERY IMPORTANT THING ABOUT BOWEL MOVEMENTS AND YOU HEALTH : If you do not have at least two full bowel movements per day and hopefully three you are indeed in trouble from all kinds of areas and the lack of bowel movements is a major cause of many, many problems- bacterial,viral infections, slowness of neurotransmitter to function, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and the list can go on and on. In article #1 I spent a great of discussion about energy always changing states of molecular shapes and how energy works. Please do not think of excrement as waste. It is only one part of energy hopefully moving to another state. Yes it may look horrible and smell but again it is not what it looks like but an indication of energy. It may be called waste but it is telling you what is going on inside of your body right then or 6 or so hours before. Maximum transient time from food in your mouth to bowel movement is 7-9 hours- not 18-24 which is totally crazy which some so-called doctors might tell you. One of the very first things that you are damaging is the cellular walls and even capilary walls- they are like concrete with no elastic principle that allows toxins out of the cell and nutrients in. Your magnesium level in way out of wack and calcium is too high. Calcium and magnesium are needed in balance to make the cell walls elastic. Get off calcium and take at least 2000mg daily of magnesium now. Absolutely no exlax or artifical relaxants or even ememas. By the second day if you have not gone 2 times then increase to 3000mg magnesium. You should always basically be between 1500 and 2000mg daily at anytime. You should have a bowel movement usually about a hour after you get up- one around 1pm and another at 5 or 6pm. Try to get 3 bowel movements per day. Some African tribal people have 5 bowel movements a day- they excrete as soon as they squat. Bowel movement should be formed and very moist, never dry or hard, in fully formed lenghts. Animals always go five times a day so if you have 5 cats and two new ones from our son looking for a new apartment, then someone is always cleaning sand boxes- almost always Susan who seems to always do it- No ,I am not a woman controller. If you screw around with bowel movements and are not as regular as clockwork then you have a major problem going on right now. MYTHS ABOUT ORGANIC FOODS Unfortunately the organic food only started about 8 years ago because sells of organic food prior to that time was about 5 billion dollars in the USA. Then it took off and last year it was around 28 billion $. During the interim big food industry saw it as way to make money. The same procedures for the so-called old food industry was translated to organic farming such as the picking of foods before they have all the nutrients they are suppose to have in them and shipping great distances of a thousand up to 4000 miles by ship,train,truck and the like. Yes you do not get the herbicides,pesticides, and 4000 chemicals from the other type of food but you thought you were getting high nutrient foods. In 1998 we bought a farm that only had cattle on it and very few at that from 1846 on. The last several years not even cattle. It had never been sprayed with any chemical whatsoever ever. So in the process of getting certified as an organic farm I decided because the soil test only cost 5$ from the state univeristy to analyze that I would do a soil test every 20 feet. I did 20 soil tests and the results were unbelievable. Zinc for example was .02 in one place and next to it 1.6 and the next .04 –same with calcium, magnesium etc- all the things you think you are getting when you buy organic food. The same thing that happened to us is the same with the organic industry. Yes the plants will grow and look wonderful but this is image over substance- they do not have the nutrients in them you need period. The next two years I spent doing research on how to get the soil to transfer the nutrients I felt were correct amounts into the plants. I do not particularly like raw spinach but I remember one day when I picked a leaf off to eat it. I sat down and ate spinach of several plants for the next 20 minutes because it tasted so good. Here is an easy way to guess at the nutrient value for me on our farm and will not work for you. I only have to pick it, then and eat it then, and by taste I know it has many good guys. Sometimes we have tested them and found I was correct. Now think of your organic produce coming from a 1000 acre field and all the variations. It is impossible to calculate. If you are the only one in the world allowed to sell paper clips and everyone wants paper clips then you are wealthy in dollars. Now we have so-called organic farming- what a joke. My father and maternal grandmother both suffer from
asthma. My 15 year old
daughter suddenly developed asthmatic symptoms (we
believe due to living in a
house infested with mould - I developed severe
migraines). My father, who now
lives in Costa Rica, discovered a TCM practitioner

My daughter and I went down to Costa Rica in
December and both received
treatments from this doctor

quiet scepticism, I was amazed with the process and
the convinced upon our

improvement in overall
general good health I became very curious as to how

Then an interesting twist....I began internet
searches on any studies on
schizophrenia and nutrition. My biological mother &
my brother (only 11

torment me with the reality that she is not out of
the woods yet. Fact is,
she is just reaching the age of possible first
onset. So as a mother
desperate to make sure that her daughter is spared I
am looking at anything I
can possibly do to help PREVENT her from this
disease. This is where my path

but quickly (as always)

understandable. you have also recognized a very valuable sign in yourself- if
you feel there is somethingthat is not quite right you could not have had that
thought in your mind unless there is something to be investigated. if you find
after testing and the like that there is no reason for you to feel these thoughts
you may have only exhausted the technological pursuits and found no anwers
but your thought of something not quite right is still there and is a major clue
to your perceptions (your reality) and probably there is something not
working properly. 2nd point- your daughter may or may not have a genetic
tendency toward the same or similiar difficuties your mother and brother had
but may appear in your duaghter in an entirely different manner such as kidney
difficulties or some othe so-called physical illness. at any rate there is a strong
possibility of some genetic pass on of some biochemical dependencies or
defiencies. your mother and brother had a physicological illness just like polio,
a virus cold or other illness. there is no such a thing as what we all
unfornutely call mental illness as if the body had separate parts and the mind is
one of them, we are a total organism and all the diffuculties and i say all the
difficulties that you mother and brother had were caused in the organism
between the navel and the anus area. this is the area of all organism function.
it is what makes the brain and other so-called organ systems work. 60% of all
seretonin for example is in the gut,etc etc. i haveto goto breafast now but give

reacions. b12 is important but for now not as important as 3000mg of
niacianamide and 3000mg vit C and 150mg zinc and omega3 1000mg of epa

if he is not having any problems with the stomach with niacinamide then
increase to 5 or 6000mg since niacinamide is one of the main keys to helping

latch onto this or that thing as a hope but remember that he needs at least the
nutrients i have suggested and probably others as well. you are in a
theraputic mode which means you are trying to correct many years of

the surface and you see it in his behavior. some but very few of hoffers
patients were on medications- if they were when they came to him he took
them off that day-others that were not on medications sometimes he put them
on medications with all the nutrients at the same time -so there is no way to
say should he be or not be on medications.in my opinion and others that feel
that the nutrients have to have time to kick in then you can wean him off
medications in less than a week by pouring out some of the medications daily
until it is all gone and no more medications.life and well as your son's dilemas
have no fixed science as we know so you have to use whatever works period
and many times that is extremely difficult- sometimes we think we have the
answers and then find out 3 hours later it didn't work or did it work for three
hours but why not longer- keep pouring the nutrients-all the nutrients in him
as fast as you can- that means 4 times a day if he will take them. it was not fun
for us or my son or other family members and it certainly is not fun for you or
your son but remember you are not exhibiting the behavior he is and he is the
one with the chaos,confusion and pain of a different sort than you have.

suggestions on this would be greatly appreicated.
My husband was curious, regarding vitamin E. Is
this vitamin not necessary for our son?

backing off to 9000 then wait a day with still the 9000 then try to go to 10,000
and it may take several trys to get up to 20000- if he has a bacterial,virus or
parasite minor infection don't be fooled if he has no diarrhea since his body
needed the extra vit C- also he should defintiely be on at least 150 mg of zinc
especially if he has skin difficulty- skin is only a casing for what is needed
inside the body- yes he should have 400iu vitamin E-so glad you have help
turn things around for him. be careful when he is in full puberty-especially
since he will be marginal for some time to come- if i can help in future just let
me know- by the way go help someone else with what you have learned from
your son's experience- there are many out there that do need you aid.

1000mg, zinc 150mg, vitamin C 4000mg, omage 3 and
/or We began two weeks ago to administer him vitamins
(without telling him, we are sure he would refuse) -
we use a complex - "Supradyn forte" (contains 12
vitamins and 8 minerals), dissolved in juices.

area of the forehead area and extending about a fourth of the way toward the
back of the brain is what many scientists and myself think make us human. this
area is the thought-process and personality area of the human and animalsthe
back part of the brain is more for visual and hearing cortex. so you are
mainly dealing with your son in the frontal lobe area. a brief history of how the
human evolved- millions of years ago the frontal lobe of the human did not
have hardly any omega 3 an essential fatty-acid and only over millions of years
by eating fish and a few other things the human starting getting more omega 3
which then allowed for the thinking process to begin. then the next generation
would have a different DNA pattern and genetic code and thus past it on to
their offspring-children. even many animals would kill other animals and the
first thing they would eat is the front part of the brain of the killed animal
where the tiny portion of omega 3 was.all this originally started in the Riff
valley in Africa. over the millions of years the human got more and more
omega 3 in the front part of the brain and thinking advanced which each
generation. now humans have between 40 and 60% of the front lobe of mainly
omega 3 and we think differently because of this omega 3. Many times the
omega 3 fatty-acids do not work properly even if they are there because of
other nutrient problems which make the omega 3 to become blocked or
misfire. so you could even have omega 3 and still have problems. now to some
very specific points about your son- he is very much biochemically imbalanced
for sure. do not spent a great deal of time and energy trying to figure how it
happened unless there is something that is ongoing now that continues to
cause him problems such as toxic chemicals,high allergic reations to foods, or
copper water pipes and many more things. he may have difficulties from when
you carried him inside of you as a fetus or at birth or in the fourth grade of
school when he got a toxin or mononueclosis you had a child which passed on
to him. any virus,bacteria ,fungi, or parasite you had as a mother could have
caused his problems now. do not and i say do not get into guilt feelings about
what you may or may not have done to your son. we all have to face it as life
and try to help pain and suffering now and forget the guilt feelings. yes it is a
shame that we all are human in this way but i nor you can change life that
way. females carry the energy until that energy is released into another form
of energy. energy has always been there and always will be. when ovum and
sperm connected you have another form of energy but from the time of ovum
and sperm you have dieing or changing states of that new energy. so if it is
dieing or changing from conception then we must learn how to perserve and
maintain that energy.you son is a separate energy from you and has been
since ovum and sperm connected.think of life energy as a "water",then and
"icecube" then "vapor" then "ether". all are changing the same original
molecules to make other molecules in different stages. the energy never dies
but simple changes it stages. your son is obsessive-compulsive and may have
all kinds of major labels which all come down to the term that he is
biochemically imbalanced. so what do you do. get omega 3 into him by food
especially fish- deep,cold water fish such as atlantic cod,halibut,mackerel
,rockfish,salmon. these are the same basis of life that came from the Riff
valley in Africa through many mutations through the millions of years. you
want him to eat at least 4 times per week at least 4 ounces of these fish each
time he eats.atlantic cod =12 grams of EPA portion of omega 3 essential fatty
acid,halibut=10 grams of EPA portion of omega 3 essential fatty
acid,mackerel=7 grams of EPA portion of omega 3 essential fatty acid
,rockfish=11 grams of EPA portion of omega 3 essential fatty acid,salmon=8
grams of EPA portion of omega 3 essential fatty acid. you need to get as much
omega 3 into him as possible.it is not toxic and he will never get too much.
frontal lobes in the human are not fully formed until about age 22 so your son
just now is finally structurally getting all his frontal lobe developed which
allows for his full personality and thought processes. remember this is the
first step in helping the frontal lobe. the second step is the other nutrients that
i have already mentioned to you that help the omega 3 work. you have to have
the omega 3 first and then the others. the things you now seewith him are
directly related to his omega 3 and nutrient problems. the death of the cat was
only the final problem that allowed the other problems to come about - the
problems were always there but they were disguised in other ways- he was not
social,had few friends,was addicted to work, did not want to share with you
and your husband... all these problems were there before the cat died but in
different ways that you did not see and maybe i too would not have seen. his
perception or reality is different from yours because his is different because of
his biochemicals. each person is a biochemical factory and each has
biochemical individuality. even though his reality or perception is unusual it is
the only perception or reality he has. it is not your reality or perception and
thus you can not understand his. that is true for all of us. read my list of 11
things i said about reality and perception i emailed you already. treat him with
great love, compassion and get the omega 3 an nutrients and wait until he
regrows his cells which then give him a different reality or perception. then he
will be s different person. do not give him commands and hardships he cannot
understand because his biochemicals cause his reality now to be what it is
and you are simply victimizing someone you say you love. you do love him and
hate his dilema and pain. yes hate the pain and suffering and do something
about it so that he can change his perception and reality. love and compassion
are wonderful and should always be given but you have to have the correct

clues- first let me say that awareness has no bounds and even though you
and your people in romania have gone through hell it may have something to

simple stress and no one knows what stress to one person is compared to

though you son was not in an orphanage the government did not do much in
terms of nutrition for others such as you son and the testing methods which
are not even that wonderful in the USA now are only a start- you have no

years ago but to help anyone come to another level of awareness. yes your son
may not like you but that is unusual. yes his obsessive work is a major clue- i
don't know what the status of availabilty of nutrients are in romania but try
to get him to take daily vitamin b6 1000mg.zinc 150mg,vitamin C
4000mg,omage 3 and /or eating plenty of cold deep water fish such as
cod,halibut or others.try to increase potassium in foods only-not straight
potassium in capsules- to 4:1 ratio with sodium- that means 4 times as much
potassium in food as sodium- that means eating lots of whole foods -frutis and
vegatables-if he uses salt now or gets it in many foods he is defintiely going
to have problems at some point-try for the 4:1 ratio- you nor i know these
three main questions- what nutrients is he missing,how long does he need
them and in what doses- when all three of these questions are answered
correctly you will see it in his behavior even without huge testing measures.

take the time and energy to give you afew more clues-Dr humphry osmond the
great psychiatrist who started the first 6 double blind psychiatritric studies in

Good morning Ron,
I am at a loss. My son a few days ago told me that the neighbors were still
making noises but that it didn't bother him anymore. Then last night, he was
restless and kept trying to leave because they were aggravating him again. We
saw a chinese herbalist Monday at the M? Center where Dr.C works out of in ?,
and she did some acupuncture on him, and wanted to give him some herbal
pills that dissolve in the mouth, however they were out of them at the time,
and another chinese doctor was supposedly in China picking up some more to
bring to the states. We are hoping to hear from her today and hope to pick
these herbals up. Ron he is talking about meeting someone at this halfway
house in boston who might set him up with a permanent bed. We are having a
problem trying to keep him here. If he goes there we will never get the
vitamins in him, and I am afraid we are going to lose him. I feel so helpless I
don't know what to do. This doctor L? is only there 2 days a month, and we
have to wait for a cancellation at best. He is so down and so convinced that he
is never going to get better that I am afraid of what he might possibly do, not
that he is talking suicide, but he is just so despondent and doesn't want to do
anything. Sometimes I really wonder if the vitamins are reacting negatively on
him. I even e-mailed Dr Hoffer to confirm that these doses were okay and he
replied that they were. I had hoped to see some improvement by now. If this

Hi Ron,
Just wanted to fill you in on what is happening so far. My son started to take
the vitamins with enthusiasm, anything was better than the meds, however, he
also has physical problems with his back brought on by his stress problems in
the past. His neck and back started to bother him, and he supposedly was in a
lot of pain.
The problem is he blames the vitamins for the pain, and consequently he
doesn't want to take anything right now. Although, today he asked me if he
should go back on the meds. I told him I thought it wasn't a good idea,
becuase I know that he would only stay on them for a few days and then he
would stop them again. It has been an up an down roller coaster these last
couple of weeks. He started to do really good at the beginning of the vitamin
therapy, but then he was getting nauseous and the pains started kicking in, so
now he doesn't want to take them. He has an appointment with his primary
care physician on Monday, and then he can get the doctors reference number to
give to the orthomolecular doctor. I just hope he follows up on this, but the
only thing is we wll have a hard time getting him to take the vitamins again if
this is going to be the treatment. Any ideas as to what we should do at this
pioint? Any suggestions you can give us would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ron,
Just wanted to give you an update on my son. The last 3 days have been a
nightmare to say the least. My son was insisting that the neighbors across the
way have cameras set up in our house and his car to watch and harass him. He
says they make all kinds of noises to aggravate him. He has been going out but
then he returns later. Our biggest fear was that he would go to their house and
do something regrettable. So far he hasn't, however we were so scared that
we started him on the medication the day before yesterday just to try to get
him to a state that he didn't hear the noises. He has been so hostile and angry
and insistent that he has to leave that I was wondering if it was possible that
he might be having a reaction to the vitamins in a negative way. Is this
possible? Anyway in desperation, I looked into some of the doctors and
practicioners in the M? Center and there was a nurse who specializes in vitamin
therapy, so I called to see about getting an appointment with her since we
have to wait so long for Dr B, well the earliest we could get to see her was
January 13. Now remember we are desperate at this point because of his
behavior the last few days. So I looked further and saw that they have 2
TCM's, one male and one female at this place. I talked to the female and told
her all about D?, and she felt she could help him but that sometimes males
would prefer to see a male doctor rather than a female. So we tried to get an
appointment with the male TCM and the earliest appointment was February 21,
one day later than Dr. B. So we called back and was able to get an appointment
this coming Monday morning at 9:30. My question is, considering Dr. B was an
orthomolecular doctor, this nurse was a vitamin therapist and these two TCM's
are acupuncturists who deal with herbals, what happens with the vitamin
therapy. Would the herbs and acupuncture actually cure him hopefully as the
megadoses of vitamins might? The other question that troubles me is where
the male TCM is not readly available but the female is available just about any
day next week, would she be as effective as the male doctor. I know this
sounds puny but it is a concern since we most likely will be paying out of
pocket for these treatments. What do you think? Right now D? is sleeping a
lot because of the medication but I don't know what frame of mind he will be in
later when he awakes. We are still giving him the vitamins anyway. let me
know what you think.

I read your book years ago because I have a daughter and son diagnosed
with bipolar disorder. I never got around to really doing anything with
what I read. Well now my daughter who is 23 is going to have a baby.
She has been off all of her medications since August and doing absolutely
wonderful! We would like to find a doctor in our area to have tests run
on what her body chemistry is right now. We were wondering if whatever
she is taking as pre-natal vitamins have made the difference or if it
is just because her body chemistry has changed because of her pregnancy.
Both my son and daughter are ultra-rapid cyclers with a lot of problems
with dysphoric mania. Do you have any research information on changes
with bipolar women and pregnancy. Any information you can give me on who
to contact would be greatly appreciated.

before we start to see some improvement in dan. He still goes out the door a
few times a day to try to go into Boston to the homeless shelter. He goes all
the way in and then comes home again. I can't seem to get him to relax and
stay at home. He has so many guilt feeings about living here and eating our
food. He does take the vitamins, but we have to give them to him otherwise he
won't. I had to give him a tranquilizer today because he had a bad night last
night. when he came back he was very scared and crying saying that he can't
make it out there. I try to tell him that he doesn't have to because he has a
safe haven here, but of course you know that it doesn't register with him. I am
so worried about him going out in the cold. Some nights he leaves the house
very late and thank god he comes back an hour or so later. I think he just
walks to the nearest train station and comes back. It is a nightmare truly, but
I can't even imagine what he must be going thru. I hope those vitamins help
him soon, because he is so troubled. We still haven't heard from that doctor
and my guess is we won't get in to see him before our scheduled appointment
on February 20th.

how long it will take for the vitamins to change your son but i do not
necessarily wish to because you are looking at an arrival point instead of
process- the process shows that your son improves his potentiality each and
every day. i have had family members change dramatically for the so-called
better in four days- remarkeable changes to fully functioning- what you would
call full human beings.others it has taken years and others it takes a lifetime.
please go to the next step in this journey and get to process rather than arrival
since you will do nothing but give yourself more pain trying to help your son if
you stay in arrival mode. take the here and now and try to make it as good as
you can for your loved one. if this is the last day you have on this earth plane
to help someone get to a higher potentialty then you have done all one can do.

lepers on the streets of calcutta. the lepers may have had a day or two to
live- some died as she was talking to them, many died in her arms. she knew
for three years she had terminal cancer and the last day of her life she was
very ill. she told the other sisters in the covent she was going to the streets
again to help the lepers. the sisters did not want her to but she went anyway.
she helped the lepers for a few hours that morning and then at 1pm died. she
cared about process- the potentialty of others. one might say it is minimal but
it too is the life process. you and i have been devestated by our western
culture in a very harmful way to miss this very important lesson of the life
process because of our arogance and ignorance. so if you take your son's
situation you have life process too . please get past expectations and
predictions and accept life as it is in the here and now but alter the potentialty
of that here and now for the better each and everytime you have the
opprtunity. your sons guilt may or may not be valid to him but even if it is then
do whatever you can to bring him to a higher level of awareness. yes i too can
vicariously feel the pain of standing in the cold, physically and mentally but it is
not the same as your sons being in the cold. the same is true for you. if you
think perhaps that you can get him all well and then get back to your own life
as if nothing ever happened then you are missing many things and in fact this
is not possible without denial on your part. think of your sons wellness rather
than thinking of his illness. take a negative and make it a positive by giving of
your own awareness for the beauty of the life process. if you read my book
carefully you will find many times that i speak of life process rather than
arrival point. this should help you with your question of how long it will take.

doses 4 times per day-- total amount divided by 4= vitamin b3 niacin but get
niacinamide 3000mg daily and you will not have to have the flush- vitamin C
3000mg daily and increasing 1000mg each day to at least 15000mg within a
few weeks- at some point you will get diarhhea,back off to the previous day's
dose- wait 1 day with taking whatever dose you are at then try to add another
1000mg unti you get to at least 15000 per day- i take 26000 per day and have
for many years -- omeag 3 only with high epa to dha ratio- the epa amount
you want is 1000mg daily. zinc 150mg daily -gaba 3000mg daily-vitamin b6
1200mg daily-- this is not a three day and all will be well crap but it will take

correct something that has happened for so long in a short time but you can
